Looking to make a splash at Worlds - KaBuM e-Sports

It’s hard to know what to think about the International Wild Card teams coming into the World Championship tournament. Those outside of their regions don’t really know too much about them, making them a bit of a mystery. They’re true wild cards, potentially capable of surprising those not ready for them.
For KaBuM! e-Sports, that means they’re ready to take on the world.
dans and top laner LEP are often on the forefront of that action. “We push harder,” says LEP. “We’ll win very quickly, or lose very quickly. We feel that the Brazilian teams play more aggressively [than the rest of the world].”
That doesn’t mean they’re not taking cues from other regions, however. dans says, since the team started, they’ve been paying attention and closely following the North American scene. “We’ve learned a lot from [North America] since we started playing. We’ve been watching them for so long, that it’s amazing being in the same place that they play.”
With their own unique style added onto the influence from other regions, expect them to fight hard, and fight often with anyone that gets in their way.
As for their expectations of how they’ll perform, LEP remains humble. “The Brazilian scene is a little bit behind the United States, Europe, and Asia,” he says. “But we don’t think we’re that far back. They’ve had a lot more time practicing and getting ready for Worlds and putting teams and compositions together.”
But what they may lack in preparation time, they more than make up for in passion. Their play style is fast, brutal, and decisive. They love to brawl, even if they don’t necessarily have the advantage. They love to go hard, and will take any excuse to do so. When they step on the world stage, expect blood.
For now, though, LEP and company are just looking to make themselves known, grow, and make sure they can compete against more established teams and regions. “For now, that’s our expectation,” he says. “To put our game and the Brazilian scene on the [map], and see how far we can go in the coming years.”
We’ll find out just how far their chaotic play can take them when they head into the group stages. Judging by how they’ve played at PAX, surprises may be in our future.
Looking on high
“If we could face any Korean team and beat them, that would be amazing.” KaBuM jungler dans has set his sights high. Asked about the one team they’re looking to take down, hespecifically called out Samsung Galaxy White as the squad that they’d love to bring down. And with their aggressive, unpredictable playstyle, they just may be able to do that. Following their victory over Latin America’s PEX, they may just be able to do that. Their teamfights may have looked chaotic, but they nearly always came out ahead. They thrive on chaos, making aggressive plays that many would consider a bad idea, but often coming out ahead.
dans and top laner LEP are often on the forefront of that action. “We push harder,” says LEP. “We’ll win very quickly, or lose very quickly. We feel that the Brazilian teams play more aggressively [than the rest of the world].”

Managing expectations
They may be hopeful, but the KaBuM guys are well aware of where they stand on the world stage. Decided underdogs at Worlds, they’re simply looking to make a splash when they get to the big stage. “Our big goal now is to go [to Korea] and match our game to the world,” says LEP. “It will be the first time we’ll be able to match up and see where the Brazilians are right now.” Obviously, Worlds is the place to do that. They’ll face the best teams on the planet, and will find out exactly what they can do against them.
