UoL Gone, FNC potential world champs... is there any reason to watch EU LCS anymore?

Just... one of the most fun, energetic teams that I loved above all others regardless of region is gone and the team I hate the second-most (they're CLOSE to TSM level disgust but TSM just barely beats them out) is in prime position to have its metaphorical joystick sucked on by Riot even more loudly than it already has been year in and year out if they pull off the theft of the decade.

And given how Rekkles, Capps and Bwipo are doubling down on their already unacceptably toxic behavior because they know they won't be punished for it (but anyone who fights back will be) just kind of indicates things are headed for a very bad place.

I hate feeling this way because, believe it or not, the EU LCS was more of what got me into professional LoL than my home region due to my work schedule at the time making it easier for me to catch the games live. But... what's the point anymore if it's just going to be misery?

I mean... if you're watching EU LCS only for the lols, then I suppose there isn't? First of all, I'm questioning i you really watched UOL since s5. For the past 3 seasons they've been nothing like the team that got into finals and took Fnatic to 5 games. They played whatever was deemed meta, there was no soloq in their play, and they were a very mediocre team too. Yes, they captured the hearts of many with their random style of playing, but the team changed a lot from season 6 onwards. Anyway, with franchising in EU things are going to look good. Not only there will be a bigger incentive for top players to stay, there's a chance good players that left for NA will also return. Froggen has been training in Korea for a significant portion of the year, Forgiven is coming back from the army, things are looking really good for EU. This season there are already 6 strong teams. In perfect world EU would have mids like Froggen, Caps, Perkz, Jiizuke, nukeduck, PoE and Febi who would return from NA... Also, basically every season a great rookie mid laner appears in EU (2011-12 Froggen and Alex Ich era - also Jensen appeared on the radar in 2012, though he got banned until 2015), 2013 Bjergsen and nukeduck, 2014 Power of Evil, also Febiven appeared in challenger and in 2015 he became a beast, Perkz at the end of 2015, so basically 2016, Caps at the end of 2016 (also basically 2017), Jiizuke end of 2017... I'm excited to see what new talent will emerge next year. It's crazy to think just how good EU teams could potentially be next season. Mid lane would be completely stacked. There are also talents like Upset, who looks super good. If you are a fan of good teams and games, there probably has never been a bigger incentive to watch EU, than it is now.

Seeing as though the EU and NA LCS use the bo1 format, no. It never has been since Riot reintroduced it imo
