If you can't wait any further to head back into LCS, and you are interested in watching some really competitive games before its start to warming up, I have good news for you The final phase of 12 team-EU CS Qualifiers that will decide the last two teams to play in next split EU CS alongside PSG, Shalke, Misfits Academy and Millennium is starting today and will go on until Sunday (further info and schedule in the link), and it will be official streamed live on lolesports.com and related channels

Notable teams competing in:

  • Team Forge (4G), ended 5th in EU CS Summer losing at last weekend the chance to enter playoffs, featurng their upcoming Italian midlaner (Jiizuké) who ended Season 6 at #2 AND #4 in EUW Solo Q (TWO accounts in TOP 4, #1 and 3 were Zven and Kirei just for istance) + former KR CS bot lane of Pathos in Gari and Mocha + EU CS veterans like beansu/Taikki

  • Fnatic Academy (FNA), coming from EUW Open Qualifier, featuring former LCS pro like EU LCS S6 Spring Champion Kikis, Mr Rallez and Klaj

  • Euronics Gaming (ESG), coming from winning EUW Open Qualifier, featuring one of the most hyped next generation EU midlaners into MagiFelix that ended Season 6 with two accounts in top 10 in EUW Solo Q (the only guy thìo achieve that alongside Jiizuké ) + former LCS pro Noxiak (added after the OQ) + NA and EU CS veteran Obvious + EU CS veteran Sedrion

  • Nerv (NRV), ended 6th in EU CS Summer, featruing current #1 EUW Solo Q player, their KR top laner Ruin, + 2017 Spring LCS Giants jungler Memento (on loan for the tournament) + former LCK, NA (Quantic Gaming), CBLOL KR player SuNo (A/N he is rather bad, but still a noticeable name) + former TCL player in Achuu + CS and LCS veteran in je suis Kaas (A/N same as SuNo)

  • **Team Kinguin (TK) ** , coming from winning EUNE Open Qualifier, regarded as a "Polish super team", featuring LCS and CS veteran Woolite, and former CS players Sebekx and Tabasko

  • ALTERNATE aTTaX (ATN), coming from Germany national league, featruing 2017 Spring LCS Giants AD Carry HeaQ (on loan for the tournament, but he qualified for these qualifiers with them) + former TCL player and Fnatic sub in Kektz + former TCL and LCL in Arphan

  • Team-LDLC (DLC), coming from France national league, featuring former LCS and CS veterans in Eika (added shortly before the tournament) and Moopz

  • Tricked eSports (TRC), coming from Nordic/Scandinavian league, featuring former LCS and CS veterans Godbro + former LCS veteran in Atom (previously Atombomben) + former UOL and Vitality Sub Reje (former Critbud, he actually played some LCS game too)

  • Team Larssen (TLR), coming from UK national league after the disbanding of the org that got the spot in the qualifier, assembled a roster at last second so they are not expected to do much, but the roster they have assembled include noticeable players former EU CS veterans in Kaze and masterwork (Millennium) + former LCL player in XDSMILEY

So far unfortunatly it´s as it had been expected...picks win games more than the teams playing it out do, and most games are fairly onesided.

Gameday 1 results

Group A FNA beat ESG NRV beat BOB (closest game of the day) DLC beat ROG

Group B

TLR beat AT (Team Larssen played with a diffent roster than what was expected, they fielded Arin and Hadow instead of Kaze and masterwork. Ar1n played the Open Qualifier with Origen Academy, Hadow is the support they qualified with in the torunament, former ESG player) 4G beat TRC (pulling off a disgusting OP comp in Poppy- CAMILLE jungle-Orianna-Jhin-Malzahar) ~~ TK beat ATN by walkover (it looked like ATN support encountered bugs and couldn't play so ATN forfeitted the game)~~

EDIT: it was decided that the game between TK and ATN will be played (originally ATN had to forfeit) and has been reschdeuled to be played in Day 3

Gameday 2 results

Group A

FNA (2-0) beat DLC (1-1) in a convincing way (now FNA is almost assured to go through group stage as they hold the tie breaker vs both DLC and ESG and have to win only a game between ROG, BOB and NRV) **NRV **(2-0) beat ROG (0-2) - pretty sloppy game from NRV by the way ESG (1-1) beat BOB (2-0)

Group B

AT (1-1) beat _ATN _(0-1), ATN didn't look like they have either the individual talent (jgl/mid lacking) neither the team play to compete for top of the table TK (1-0 ) beat TRC (0-2) 4G (2-0) beat TLR (1-1), most interesting game of the day, TLR started really strong and got a relevant advantage, than 4G won a big teamfight where from a disadvantage position turned the tables around, and from that point were literally unstoppable and closed the game quickly (4G is in the same stending situation as FNA)

Gameday 3 results

Group A

NRV (3-0) beat ESG (1-2) : this game deserve a special mention for various reasons. 1 hour of very intense clownfiesta and exciting League, NRV get a big early advantage upon Achuu hitting key Ashe arrow and Noxiak deeding his ass off, then does an inexplicable baron BUT they lose 3 men and ESG upon that manage to take the lead of the game. ESG having a more late game focused comp than NRV start to build their way towards the victory, until the poin where they get overconfident and take an unnecessary fight that they lose badly, so NRV take the lead again and upon that fight they push through and go for nexus that they almost take down (400hp) but a big Sedrion play that escape Memento and come back in time to save it allow ESG to hold on the tower, get a baron, and from that point take the upper hand. ESG push in thanks to baron, take 2 inhib down and almost take the third down, but given the advantage they have do not want to throw again as they get the lead and try to choke NRv out, but NRV is able to hold on until inhib respawn. ESG get Elder, but NRV rush mid, the final big teamfight happen and contrary to what could have been expected, NRV is capable to pick up early on ESG ADC (the damage on Syndra ult!) and manage to win the game. ESG is basically out from the run for the race for the top 2 spots necessary for the finals. Both teams seemed really shaky FNA (3-0) beat ROG (0-3) DLC (2-1) beat BOB (0-3)

Group B

TRC (1-2) beat TLR (1-2) in a convincing way picking Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaven ADC. Fun note: They dived fountain and 5 man suicided when nexus was at 50 hp to kill the last TLR members alive, but the nexus wasn't destroyed so the game lasted a pair of minute longer than necessary, LOL TK (2-0) beat AT (1-2) 4G (3-0) beat ATN (0-2), ATN started like TLR did yesterday vs 4G, heck, they started even better than TLR as they did not only had the advantage in gold/kills but were also ahead of Forge in map rotations and were able for about 20 minutes to answer to any 4G move and be one step ahead of them. Then again, 4G istantly turns the table thanks to victory in a big teamfight, get baron, and from that point look unstoppable and closed the game really quickly

Recovery of game missed in day 1

ATN (1-2) beat TK (2-1) in the upset of the day, ATN actually started as well as in 4G game, and unlike the 4G game, TK was never able to find a good fight to turn things around, on the contrary ATN was able to costantly expand their advantage by picking up good fights and winning them (they get lucky in some occasion but overall they were superior) to then close the game in style

Gameday 4 results

Group A

NRV (4-0) beat DLC (2-2) in a game that had a weird pick and ban phase with Shen banned and Camille sneaking through ban and first pick choice so NRV could pick it FNA (4-0) beat BOB (0-4) by walkover, because Bobaski could't field a full lineup and had to forfait, according to FNA coach tweet (the game was pretty much irrelevant by the way because of the previous NRV vs DLC result) ESG (2-2) beat ROG (0-4)

FNA AND NRV QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS, 1ST PLACE WILL BE DECIDED BY FNA VS NRV GAME IN DAY 5

Group B

TRC (2-2) beat ATN (1-3) AT (2-2) beat 4G (3-1) in the upset of the day. A TERRIBLE performance from 4G Korean bot lane sealed the deal, with Gari being very late in the early game rotations to give AT a lot of early advantage and Mocha having one of the worst Thresh game ever and definitively throwing the game away once 4G was starting to have a comeback coming mid game. This AT win open up a ton of different scenario for group standings TK (3-1) beat TLR (1-3)

TK QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS. 1st PLACE WILL BE DECIDED BY 4G vs TK GAME IN DAY 5

Possible standings outcome: If 4G win, 4G is 1st and TK is 2nd, AT is out regardless of their result vs TRC. If TK win and AT win, TK is 1st, AT is 2nd, 4G is out. If TK win and AT lose, TK is 1st and 4G is 2nd (4G and TRC would be tied at 3-2, but 4G hold the tie-breaker so 4G would be 2nd and TRC 3rd)

Gameday 5 results

Group A

ROG (1-4) beat BOB (0-5) ESG (3-2) beat DLC (2-3) NRV (5-0) beat FNA (4-1) in the UPSET OF THE DAY. WTF FNA??? NRV won big draft, with FNA picking Katarina into Syndra/Poppy/Rengar/Thresh/Varus (when Poppy/Varus/Syndra were yet picked???) and Memento destroyed them and Broxah that was deprived of his signature Lee finally banned from him and played an awful Rek'Sai with NRV being 6-0 in kills at 8 minutes with 1 kill on any FNA member at that point and 14-1 at 14 minuntes and 20 seconds in the game and Nerv getting two infernal drakes and a rift herald pre 15 minutes...wow, that was shocking

NERV QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS AS 1ST SEED, FNA IS 2ND SEED

Group B

4G (4-1) beat TK (3-2), this was the best game 4G played in the tournament, the first game where they get a significant advantage early game, and then managed to limit the number of their mistakes and close the game cleanly. With this result AT is out regardless of their result vs TRC ATN (2-3) beat TLR (1-4) TRC (3-2) beat AT (2-3)

1st Final result

Team Kinguin beat Nerv 3-0

TEAM KINGUIN QUALIFY FOR 2017 CS SPRING SPLIT. CONGRATULATIONS!

Nerv just got torched by the first team that played decent vs them, confirming the doubts surrounding their performances in group stage even against bottom tier teams. The victory vs FNA yesterday was literally fool's gold, and it has to be questioned how much was Nerv merit with FNA having just a bad game/being overrated and how much was FNA calculation to dodge TK in the Finals (even if it would be...weird given how TK didn't look so great in group stage? Did they see something in scrims eventually?)

2nd Final

FNA win Game 1

A cheese bot lane gank at the start of the game from Broxah set up the pace of the gane for FNA, that from that point managed to slowly expand their lea, get vision and objectives, and close the game. 4G had 2 or 3 openings to turn the game around but their plays fell short, especially because the MF support pick played by Mocha was really bad and Gari was bad throughout the whole game too

FNA win Game 2

This game was completely different. 4G was on point answering FNA pressure, so they got a small but consistent early going for them, and after a period of a bit of a stall where the situation stayed pretty much the same, 4G managed to win a pair of skirmishes and get a bigger lead. At that point the turning point. After kiling Broxah near Baron, 4G started a non sense risky baron, FNA stopped them, and after 4G recalled FNA got the Baron theirselves, and from that point they took the lead of the game. 4G then lost a big fight in bot jungle because Baron + Gari missing an easy Ashe arrow and from that point FNA proceed to win the game. 4G throw a big chance in a game they could have comfortably won here and now they are iwith their back against the wall P.S. BTW, no way FNA had lost that way vs Nerv. Fizz y

FNA win Game 3

FNA try the cheesy bot lane gank at the start of the game, but 4G manage to escape it, so the early game stay even. Broxah start to outrotate Taikki, and in a simultaneus turn of events, Kikis manage to trade a kill with Taikki in a 2vs1 top for 4G, while FNA takes bot lane and kill Mocha bot, and take the lead. At that point, they start to blitz group objectives around the map, and target Gari and Jiizuke that was the only one gettung a CS advantage on Nisqy. From that point on, they manage to rotate perfectly, while 4G take bade decision upon bad decision, and FNA manage to close out the game cleanly.

4G drafted very poorly and bot + jungle were very bad throughout all the series dragging the team down and beansu was evanescent in the last pair of games too

Fnatic Academy beat Team Forge 3-0,

FNATIC ACADEMY QUALIFY FOR 2017 CS SPRING SPLIT. CONGRATULATIONS!

P.P.S It is a real shame that the 2nd best team in these CSQ gets eliminated because they face the best team in one of the final upon the fact that FNA lost a game vs Nerv in a way that that look more and more suspicious the more you look at any other game they have played in these CSQ, while TK advance to get easily destroyed in CS
