"I can beat everyone."
Or so says Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin, one of the best AD carries in the world. His immaculate play, alongside former team SK Telecom T1 K, throughout the 2013 season helped lead the squad to a
World Championship victory at the Staples Center. Now, the confident Korean is testing the North American waters as the starting AD Carry on Team Curse.
In terms of his old team SK Telecom T1 K, Piglet believes a change in their practice environment was one of the main reasons they fell from grace. "I know it sounds like an excuse, but to me, it’s the biggest reason."
With wealthy organizations putting pro players in team houses with dedicated coaches and the best equipment possible, it's no secret that training conditions in Korea are a step above those in other regions. As a player known for practicing for upwards of 16 hours a day, Piglet's determined to help his new team reach new heights. And they'll need to become as devoted as he is if they want to become the best in America. "It seems that NA teams have a tendency to practice only during designated times while Korean teams practice whenever they have time," he confessed.

With a fresh start, Piglet is ready to take advantage of the spotlight after being in the shadow of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and become the best ADC in North America. "I feel pressured to do better than in the past," he admitted, though he's still confident that he can carry Curse to the top.
While he seems pleased with his decision to leave Korea for Curse and the NA LCS, his concern is apparent when discussing why other pros are leaving for new regions. "I think that there is a gap between Korea and the other countries in terms of the treatments for pro-players," he said. "Players do what they have to do regardless of where they play, but the amount of money you get differs. You follow fixed routines every day in Korea, whereas in other countries, I think you have more room to breathe."
The now bold ADC
who came from humble beginnings certainly didn't always dream of being a pro player. As his own toughest critic, Piglet's also known for being incredibly hard on himself. Even if his team is victorious, he doesn't feel like a winner if his opponents play better than him. Yet coming to NA, he isn't too worried. "I don’t think I lacked in mechanics in Korea," he explained. "In comparison to NA ADCs, I don’t think I’ll lose against any of them to be honest."

What about to Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, who Piglet once famously said he could beat with one hand? "I’d like to go up against Doublelift. I can beat him," he shot, adding that when he does play versus CLG's ADC, he wants to use Doublelift's iconic champion, Vayne.
Before we said goodbye, Piglet showed off his sweeter side. As a self-proclaimed Winnie the Pooh fan who has been known to wear Pooh socks before big matches, we wanted to know which champions he thought the characters from the 100 Acre Wood would play in League. "Pooh would be Volibear, Tigger - Rengar, Piglet - Twitch, and Eeyore - Hecarim."
