I don't understand the hate behind TSM's roster changes.

If you look at TSM's performances on paper (including graphs of gold/advantage progessions over the entire games), Svenskeren and doublelift were both very INCONSISTENT performers. Sven, in my opinion, was let go because they wanted more consistently, despite that Sven is a good player. Doublelift, on the otherhand, has not been performing like a top tier adc. I watch his performances and feel underwhelmed because he might have experience but hes not as good as he used to be anymore. I think TSM kicked biofrost off because they most likely wanted a more experienced player in the support role who could potentially shotcall. This is why I think the acquisition of Sven and Mithy is a really smart one. You have the bot lane synergy and a shotcalling support. As for jungle, I can't confirm whether or not MikeYeung is the ideal pick since I haven't personally watched his games and haven't seen his progression as a rookie over the splits. And this is coming from someone who isn't a TSM fan.

For me, it's not really hate more than it is just there's better news and hype in other teams in the NA LCS. But to the roster at hand, with first impressions I feel it's more bandwagoners not liking the idea of these changes or changes period. People have yo-yo'd wanting MikeYeung with them since P1's collapse in the summer for the obvious "X Style Jungler turned Wardbot" sayings. Frankly with P1, I found him more of a detriment to the team rather than an improvement in the long run when you think to the dynamics between Spring and Summer. He's got a split under his belt now on top of a backing fanbase of sorts. This is a big deal for him to prove something meaningful.

As for the Zven and Mithy bot lane duo - nothing wrong with keeping them as a bot lane package, especially if this meta isn't warping the support role any time soon. My keyword to them however is steady - not extraordinary or anything of the like. Star players in Europe: yes...but they were not a pure backbone to the EU LCS nor did the G2 Show live and die by them. It's that synergy and stability as a duo towards their team that TSM are vouching for above that of Doublelift and Biofrost with all other metrics and facts involved. But I rather see it in action than to approve right off the gate.

Other than that the only other hate I've seen is just irrational "3 imports" garbage, and that somewhat just comes from those who just won't accept the rules set in by the Esports Division on a global scale. Hell, it's happened before for this exact same team; why is this needing to be brought up again

Picking up both Zven and Mithy was a smart move because bot lane is that one role that you need both the support and ADC, also because Zven and Mithy have played together since 2015 Spring. If TSM kept Biofrost to pair with Zven the duo would/could be better but it would have taken time and time is something that NA is short on honesty. Mithy like you said will most likely be the shotcaller since Bjergsen doesn't want to do that, Zven will be the carry and possibly make mistakes on the International event and Bjergsen can play passive and go even at best, so he has other pieces to blame to help carry now

Dumping Doublelift and Bio I understand. They were not performing well internationally. Domestically, they did well but then again, nothing outstanding either. TSM could have gotten similar results if they had used WT, or any other ADC.

As far as the jungle goes, I’m not sure. Sven was a aggressive jungler despite the teams he was playing in. Once he join TSM, they slowly changed his play style so that he becomes more of a support jungler rather than a playmaker like Contracts, Amazing, MikeYeung..etc. domestically, thischange works. Every lane in TSM tends to go even or win so they don’t need a carry jungler. However, internationally, this won’t work. They will eventually change MIkeYeung to the same play style that they have forced Sven, Amazing, and Oddone into

TSM is the most popular NA team, therefore, anything they do will be "hated" on. Its all irrelevant anyways, because all esports fans are bandwagon jumpers no matter what (unless they are directly affiliated with team).

Not sure where you're seeing all this "hate", as I have yet to really see any. I will definitely say that the pressure is on bjerg more than it has been before, as with a ridiculously consistent botlane and one of the best rookie NA junglers any and all failure will most likely be tied to him now.

Sven was terrible. He was a polarized jungler having either very good games (mostly on Lee Sin) or absolutely horrible games (mostly on everyone else and more recently every game). He died too much and gave up too many first bloods. If I had to pick one reason why TSM did not get out of groups, it would be Sven's performance. He was terrible.

I dont know if Milkeyeung is the answer. Personally, I always thought that Reignover would be an awesome fit for TSM. But clearly Mike is an upgrade over Sven. I expect TSM to be better no matter what the new bot lane does.

The bot lane is trickier for me. Clearly, this was a Sven for DLIft trade. And once that was decided, it made too much sense to take Mithy as well. Which means that Bio had to go. I am really not sure now much of am upgrade (if any) Sven will be over DLift. So I will ber VERY interested to see how TSM's bot lane performs in Spring.

I will say that DLIft had the most disappointing worlds for TSM. I got pretty much what I expected from Sven but DLIft played nowhere near his potential at worlds. Maybe that was enough to make a change because clearly TSM SHOULD have gotten out of groups. (Although to be fair, whoever decided he wouldnt play Tris in that game is a bozo. If it was Parth, that alone was enough to send him packing.)
