Febiven is a real damage powerhouse. Of the mid laners who have managed to get to the Semifinals in Brussels this week, he's serving up a larger portion of his team's damage than any other. 31% of all damage dealt by Fnatic at Worlds came through Febiven's magic fingers. Even the Semifinalist ADCs are having a hard time keeping up, with only Origen's Niels boasting a larger damage output percentage, though at 33%, there's not a huge amount in it. Febiven also resides in the Unkillable Quarter - the top 25% of Semifinalists who have died fewer than 15 times throughout the entirety of Worlds.
Back at the Mid-Season Invitational, Febiven and the rest of Fnatic performed well enough to proceed to the Semifinals, where they would manage to take two games off of SKTelecom in a Best of 5. With the additional team synergy and strength gained from the recruitment of Rekkles since MSI, expectations going into Worlds were high. Fnatic had an incredible Summer Split, going undefeated all the way until the Finals in Stockholm, and Febiven has been integral to their success. Believed by many to be one of the strongest mid laners in Europe, his chances going into Worlds were looking good. Even if dropping a couple of games to Origen put a small scratch in Fnatic's veneer of invulnerability.

The first week of the 2015 World Championship Group Stage was a tough one for Fnatic. After opening the show on a high -- forcing Invictus Gaming to surrender after just 30 minutes -- the team found defeat in their next two games. Many questioned whether the team's magic had been lost, but Febiven and his teammates used their practice time well, and bounced back in the second week with a convincing 3-0 in their Group. As the Quarterfinals arrived in London, it was unclear whether Fnatic could progress in the competition, as they would be facing the winners of the hard-fought Mid-Season Invitational, Edward Gaming. Despite these fears, Fnatic sauntered through the Best of 5 against EDG with very little cause for concern.
Febiven's performance was vital in allowing them to pass through the Quarterfinals. In particular, an exceptional early gank in the bottom lane saw Febiven demonstrate his LeBlanc skills as a 3 vs. 3 broke out under EDG's turret. As his teammates Reignover and Huni fell, it looked like Edward Gaming's jungler Clearlove might be the only one to emerge from the scuffle unharmed. With only a sliver of health remaining, Febiven cast a last minute Distortion, outwitting his enemy and allowing him to escape with a triple kill and First Blood. This set the tone for the rest of the game, and even the rest of the series, as they pushed through to undefeated victory.

Moving into the Semifinals, Febiven's damage output is going to be key for the team to progress. His strong mechanical ability means that he can be very effective with some of the trickier burst and control mages, such as Azir and LeBlanc. Febiven's Viktor is especially scary, outputting around 570 damage per minute and surviving to rack up 11 kills or assists per death. He'll need to continue with this heavy damage and lane pressure as the tournament continues.
Expectations were high for Fnatic and Febiven coming into Worlds, and after a shaky start, they seem to have found their groove. Febiven's consistent damage, coupled with his refusal to die, is working wonders for the team. Even against Chinese heavyweights EDG. The real test will come in the next week or two, when Fnatic faces off against Korea's KOO Tigers. If they win that, we'll see them head to Berlin for the Finals, where Febiven will face off against Faker or his European brother in arms, xPeke.
