Won't New Rift Herald Ruin Pro League?

Wasn't a big gripe about the LCS and Pro League that there was not enough killing and action? Won't the new rift herald just lead to more super cautious games since both teams will know if they make a risky play and fail and lose rift herald they going to lose probably 2 turrets and be at a huge disadvantage? Just really surprised by Riot's decision on this.

I personally like the idea of buffing Rift Herald but I feel they over did it.

It's much less worth it in constructed. Rift Herald pushing down a lane is actually very easy to kill, especially if people are coordinated against it.

It can be very useful, though, and new strategies and siege comps might arise that revolve around using it (And potential Mountain Drakes) to get a lead.

It's actually about making top lane more dynamic, instead of being more about TP. Right now the pro scene is a lot of playing around botlane early because dragon is also there. By making there be a significant advantage to be gained by controlling top side earlier you might see more gutsy play around top-lane, not only in style, but in champion choice. Should make for some great plays tops pre-baron-spawn

Well they didn't make the Rift Herald change with pro play as the primary reason for it to change. Honestly I think it's a well rounded change to apply objective control for that area in the early game and advantages can develop only if no attention is brought to its activity by the opposing team. If you ask me it's like the Cloud Drake priority or even the first Rift Herald iteration where you have to see where it goes after changes.
