I created a little visualization of some MSI 2016 stats. Let me know what you think.

EDIT: As promised in the comments, I followed up this visualization with a more thorough analysis and documentation. I decided to limit the statistics I want to look and instead give a more detailed insight into the analysis. If you are interested, here it is: http://league-analytics.com/2016/05/12/visual-data-analysis-msi-2016-damage-statistics/

Nice visualization! Thank you for uploading this!

Stixxay's stats are very impressive. He's leading the whole tournament in kills, and in three of the games he played he has had the most of his team's gold share. Rock on, Stixxay!

It's also interesting to note that the bottom two teams focused less on vision than the top four teams. The junglers on the bottom two teams also had the most deaths out of the junglers. Seems like a good lesson to all summoners out there; ward the river, and protect your jungler!

Another interesting trend I found was that for the most part (except for Kikis), most of the top laners had few deaths. Kikis had the most deaths with 32, but the top laner with the second highest deaths is Darshan, and he's only at 20.

Maple, Duke, and mlxg only had 14 deaths in the group stages. Curious as I am, I checked out what champions they played to see if there are connections. And, of course, there's Ekko. If we do not include the game Duke played on Ekko that he lost (in which he died 4 times), Duke would only have 1 death with Ekko. Surprisingly, though, Ekko only has a 42.3% win rate in the group stage. I'll need to do some more research to find out what teams did to shut down Ekko, but this post is already getting too long... O.o

Sorry for the long reply; I just love statistics! [slayer-jinx-wink]

I saw a couple of interesting things highlighted in these data:

Stormaged looks like a huge weakness of SuperMassive. I already thought this while watching the games, but the data just reinforces it.
xiaohu seems to be the main separation between RNG and the rest of the field. His stats are really impressive, from K-D to dmg% vs. gold%.
Stixxay is carrying CLG pretty hard based on some of his stats.

What made you decide to show the dmg%/gold% separated by games instead of an average over all games? When I was first looking at the graph I noticed the really great marks from HuHi, xiaohu, and NL towards the upper-center (the dark red points), but when I hovered I noticed it was actually much more scattered over the 5 games. It was kind of difficult for me to judge each player overall after that. Was there a reason you decided to present the information that way? (Not criticizing, just curious)

A random analysis idea I had during the games was to see if there is a correlation between having an "X" in the pro's name and having a higher K-D. Some of the top performers, in my opinion, are xiaohu, mlxg, and Stixxay. Sort of a strange connection there!
