WTF is TSM Doing??

How in the hell do you replace a player like Hauntzer. The guy is an absolute monster, I don't care how good Broken Blade's mechanics are, and nothing against him really, but there's no way he has Hauntzer's knowledge and experience when it comes to wave management and manipulation and working with the team in general.

I'm really tired of TSM roster changing EVERY split. The players never have a chance to gel as a team before Regi changes out some player or another.

On top of all this, splitting up Zven and Mithy just feels REALLY bad. I get that its a business and all, but man how do you do that to two players that have been playing together for as long as they have. Not to mention, the synergy they have built up over this time and knowledge of how to play every lane together.

Hauntzer was good for 1 split and then he has been really overrated.

TSM is doing a good job, if only my team did the same and didn't fucking let their botlane and Mid go...

Firstly, you make it sound like Hauntzer just came to the roster. News flash: he's been with that org for 3 years now. It's kind of good to seek out change based on the poor season they had all together which is going to absolutely come at cuts here n there. By not caring about acquisitions such as Broken Blade who has his credentials as is just shows how sensitive you're being as a TSM fan once again especially after the kind of year they had!

The rest of this comes down to the following question: if a roster is failing or fails, why not take some measures to recover and rebuild? TSM isn't the only legacy team that fell flat on its face this season and god damn be grateful they're trying to do SOMETHING. Like...jeez imagine a world where SKT didn't make all the acquisitions they freaking made after just as much of a failure year. Yeah I know - different region, talents, all that jazz - but the general thought is still the same.

" I'm really tired of TSM roster changing EVERY split"

  • Hauntzer, Mikeyeung, Bjergsen, Zven and Mithy were together for a full year.

It's really hard knowing how good X player is when they have been on an all-star team for close to 3 1/2 years. Hauntzer was on an average team when he was 'The man'(Gravity).

TSM needs to do something as the team didn't make NA Finals in either splits for the first time and also missed Worlds for the first time. TSM fans and/or fans in general cried for D-Lift's head when TSM lost a tie-breaker against Misfits etc but when TSM underperforms to their own usual NA standards TSM/NA fans want the roster to stay together?

Mithy and Zven are a great duo but sometimes partnerships need to end. The duo wasn't the same 2015 that was 10/10- each year Zven and Mithy just got worse and worse and 2018 was a final nail in the coffin. TSM wants a shotcaller and Mithy just wasn't it.( Was/is he the main problem with TSM, No! AKA Bjergsen's passive do nothing nature is)

TSM wants/needs 1 shotcaller and the rest to fall in line. Too many Indians and egos ATM for TSM. Hauntzer needed/needs to go because he is a great player and when a player becomes great he becomes too much of a noise and opinionated in his own selfish desires and needs( To be the Man, Westbrook stat whore style). Mithy, like I said isn't this great shotcaller like he was before and actually got TSM in some horrible situations with either his really bad shotcalling and/or his mediocre lane phase in most games.

Replacing Hauntzer is not really a problem if they are going to get 3 strong NA players as they seem they are doing by getting Dardoch on jungle and they will have potentially the strongest trio of NA native players in Bjergsen/Dardoch/Smoothie. Also Hauntzer seems to have peaked, at a level that is pretty good for NA, but still below the best international top laners, so if TSM is serious about looking at international success, he is not an irrepleaceable loss

The real problem is that with this new iteration of TSM, their management is not facing their issues, since thery are building once again their roster around Bjergsen, a tactic which has becoming more and more inefficient as the competition in mid lane AND the number of decent to good NA players in general have increased.

Broken Blade has great mechanics and still potential to improve, but I'm not really sold on him, and honestly i don't think TSM can rely on him from the start to dominate, as he will have his ups and downs while he adapt to an higher level of competition, and Zven has been subordinate to Bjerg last season, so it's likely that dardoch and the entire TSM tactic will tend to gravitate again around Bjergsen being able to snowball upon the advantages he create in early game upon the entire map, which he has not been able to do well in the latest seasons
