Call Me That Guy, But

I don’t really feel a bit sorry for Faker. One of the best attributes of a “GOAT” is how well do you handle a loss. I don’t think Faker handled the loss terribly, but he definitely didn’t handle it well. No one is really a good loser, but the best are able to get through it.

I don’t give Faker a pass for losing either. I don’t blame his teammates. It’s a team loss. He doesn’t get to smack talk SSG about ending the series in 3 games so he can “eat” and expect me to feel sorry for him when he chokes. Maybe next time he’ll give some more respect and deliver at least a good series in a World Championship Final.

My dear friend, it's not just "game" for him. It's his work and life. And I can trully understand his frustration. And i pretty sure he blames noone but himself for this lose, even though it wasn't his only fault. And if you're happy for someone's failure...well...i wouldn't like to have you in my own environment(and thank god i won't).

A loss on a huge stage when you're the biggest star hurts. That's all. He wasn't raging, he didn't refuse to acknowledge SSG although it took some encouragement to get him up and shake hands, and I doubt he's on Twitter or whatever making excuses or blaming his team. A lot of players will talk a little smack, especially when Riot does interviews to cut in soundbites between games, that's what Riot wants. Unless he got personal or was calling out specific players, that's just publicity fluff.

League is everything to Faker. It's his heart and soul, so when SKT lost, he failed in his own eyes. Those aren't tears of bitterness, they're tears of pain. He played his best and did everything in his power to win and it wasn't enough.

That's what we feel bad for. When a guy genuinely tries his best and fails, it's always hard to see.

To be honest though you are "that guy".

The fact that you care more about a little bm in an interview rather than the guy's passion for the game is a little...telling.

And let me be clear. I’m incredibly happy Faker lost!!!!!!

Exactly. He was extremely cocky going into this and guess what? He got demolished. I really can't feel bad for him. It was rude to just sit there in his chair, crying, instead of being a sportsmanlike individual and at least giving the SSG players a genuine handshake face-to-face. I don't care if this is his career, that just showed how much of a baby he really is. So sorry if you disagree.

While no one gives a fuck about C9.

I understand this is their life & all, but at least show sportsmanship & respect to the team that beat you. This isn't the first time this has happened. I remember in 2015 during the C9 miracle run TL were heavy favorites to advance from the gauntlet. Piglet was really cocky before the match & did the same thing to C9 after they stomped TL...

It's not a crime to be so overwhelmed with emotion that you break down. WHy does everyone think that just because this happens, youve done something wrong? EMotion just overwhelms you and comes out of you. Faker is human, he really wanted to win, he made mistakes that cost him that win. For the first time ever he wasn't the god robot that everyone viewed him as. He bleeds and cries like everyone else.

You can imagine that Faker himself probably didn't WANT to do that but his emotions where so overwhelming he couldn't help it. Sometimes internalizing your strife does you more damage than letting it out when you need to. THIS wont stop faker at all. Faker letting out his emotion isn't wrong.

If it were your or me, we would probably have done the same. Would you WANT to? Would you plan on it? Probably not, but thats what true emotion feels like. You don't plan on feeling it or letting it out, it just comes out of you and you can't help it.

Everyones saying faker should have handled that better because they only see his emotion at face value. Nobody can relate to what he was feeling so nobody can scold him for letting it out. You don't know what it truly felt like.
