How come TSM is never referred to as Team Solo Mid anymore?

More of a curiosity than anything. Most other teams have an acronym or an abbreviated name - C9, CLG, P1, etc. However, they are usually introduced and referred to by their team's actual name. I can't remember the last time I actually heard anyone use the name Team Solo Mid. Even at N/A finals, MSI and worlds, they are still introduced by the announcers and casters as TSM.

One of many examples: Cloud9 introduced at around 5:10, TSM introduced at around 7:15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X9imx0-wiQ

Reginald the owner of TSM(Team Solomid) wanted the announcers and casters etc to call them just TSM instead of Team Solomid.

The only real 'Team Solo Mid'y thing about Team Solo Mid is that Reginald still manages the team somewhat. Other than that, TSM is just fine.

Probably easier branding, people are going to quickly get TSM in their head than Team Solo Mid, also Regi has other teams in different games under his brand. WWE did the same thing, no longer referring to themselves as World Wrestling Entertainment since they arent only about wrestling anymore. So since TSM is no longer only about LoL, it makes sense to just refer to themselves as TSM.

I personally just believe it's the Ms. M is not a letter you want to use often and it's not the fastest letter. Compared to C, K, T, and other letters that are faster, it becomes the option used less.

Aside from that, Their Logo is the letters. People who don't know team names will know them by TSM. They visually advertise themselves as TSM. Cloud9 doesn't have C9 as their symbol.

It might just be the nuances of our language, visually and verbally, dictating the label assigned to that team.
