FORG1VENGRE
FORG1VENGRE
FORG1VENGRE has now been a member of four different EU LCS teams, and the bad news for H2K fans is that he couldn't propel the other three to any lasting greatness. In fact, SK Gaming and the Copenhagen Wolves soon felt the icy grip of relegations, while Gambit Gaming sold their 2016 slot to Team Vitality. FORG1VENGRE leaves destruction in his wake, then, both on and off the Rift. Although even his harshest critic would hardly lay the blame for the fall of these great League institutions exclusively at his feet. On the contrary, he was usually the best chance they had of achieving success.

FORG1VENGRE is an incredibly gifted AD carry with some impressive achievements under his belt. Back in 2014, he accumulated a record-breaking 1650 LP in ranked play on the EUW server. In those days, he was known as the best ADC in the West, and he's still very highly regarded. With H2K’s previous roster scattered to the wind, FORG1VENGRE feels like a solid addition -- something predictably strong to build around -- even if signing him isn't without risk.
A surplus of confidence and aggression are a large part of what makes FORG1VENGRE a great player, even though his hotheadedness sometimes lands him in trouble. A competitive ruling prevented him playing with Gambit Gaming for four weeks in the Summer Split, which certainly didn’t help the team’s ultimately doomed attempts to avoid having to fight for their LCS spot once more in the Promotion Tournament. Meanwhile, H2K made it to Worlds, though they failed to make it out of Groups, but perhaps some extra firepower in the bot lane will help them go further this year.
FORG1VENGRE joins Zven (formerly Niels) from Origen and Rekkles from Fnatic to form a trifecta of superstar AD carries in the EU LCS and, while he may not have his young rivals’ youthful exuberance, he has more experience to call upon. In truth, many believe FORG1VENGRE to be the more skilled player mechanically, while Zven and Rekkles have the advantage of belonging to incredibly strong teams who play very well together. Consider Rekkles' brief sojourn to Elements, which was remarkably unsuccessful, despite Froggen's mid lane strength and his own abilities.
What’s more, several of FORG1VENGRE's favourite champions, Graves, Lucian and Caitlyn, have received substantial upgrades as part of the 2016 Marksmen update. Graves in particular has blasted out a new niche for himself as a short-range AoE damage powerhouse. Lucian has also seen big improvements in recent patches. He wasn’t part of the Marksmen update, but the boost -- perhaps linked to his weak performance in the second half of 2015 -- will suit H2K’s new ADC.
FORG1VENGRE plays with a ferocious intensity
All of this puts FORG1VENGRE in a great position at the start of 2016. His old toys are new again, and with a newly formed H2K around him, perhaps he’ll climb back to the heights he reached at the start of last year, when he was named MVP in the Spring Split before SK Gaming started to fall. As long as he can keep his temper in check, that is.
Although, as far as we're concerned, all is FORG1VENGRE.
