The Results

Match 1

Mattias Lehman - Gustaf's Gentlemen (7-2)

My Gentlemen had a hard-fought battle last week, and while Kerp was a god as usual, Quas deserves special mention for enough beast mode to carry a whole team. But enough about the past; it’s time to look towards the future. Next week, I will make my way to the end of the Rainbow and claim the pot of gold, then take down the Unicorns and drink their blood like I’m a stuttering Defense Against the Dark Arts instructor. Sweet, sweet first place gold. Why? Because I’m so fancy, can’t you taste this gold? And as long as I got my suit and tie, I’mma leave it all on the floor tonight. Let me show you a few things, show you a few things about LoL.

Trent Murray - This is My Smurf (2-7)

So close! Alliance had a solid week, Hai remembered how to kill things, and Sneaky got a quadrakill! Unfortunately, Quas also decided to have the game of his life and rack up so many assist points that victory was just out of reach. Hopefully this week, my players will keep playing the same and their matchups will work more in my favor.

Match 2

Thomas Watts - Code Monkeys (6-3)

The Code Monkeys survived a very close 217.17-216.99 call against Neoillusions' Dragonslayer Teemo and moved into second. Gleeb and Jankos badly underperformed, but it was still enough to pull out the victory. Unfortunately, the recent TSM unpleasantness has put my roster into a scary state. Your Head Monkey will be waiting for Lustboy to become available as a replacement. Luckily, Jree can fill in this week should I fail.

Jack Ho - Dragonslayer Teemo (4-5)

Oh how the mighty have fallen. I'm in quite a slump, losing to Code Monkeys by .18 points and I have no one to blame but myself. If I had put LMQ as my Team over SK Gaming, or Svenskeren instead of Dyrus in Flex, I would have broken my loss streak. With only two weeks left, there's no chasing Gustaf, who's three wins ahead of me. All there's left to do is to make sure I don't lose to Rainbow Unicorns this split. Let's go SK!

Match 3

Ferguson Mitchell - FergSquad (5-4)

Glyceroll never stood a chance. This is FergSquad on our highest gear; and with a four-game winning streak behind us and tied in third place, we don't need much to claim victory. Vasilii and Mor continue to hold down the fort, week after week, with powerful games and awesome scores. And with LMQ aiming to end the season in first place, I expect that trend to continue, much to the disappointment of all our opponents. Crumbzz, I don't know what to say, you've fallen so far so fast. Stay strong baby, we're almost home.

Andrew Whitmore - Rainbow Unicorns (5-4)

Well, crap. I'm running out of excuses now. CLG isn't performing and none of my other picks are strong enough to carry me through the week (with the exception of the remarkable XiaoWeiXiao). My backup plan in Altec failed miserably this week as well, as EG ended up looking more like solo queue chumps than an actual LCS team.

All in all, my reliance on NA for a majority of my points has forced me to lose more than once, and I'm too nervous to actually attempt a swap with another player. With my luck, I'll end up swapping someone out for a teammate that goes 0-40 and loses me a ton of points. It's too late in the season for a drastic roster overhaul, so I'm still hoping that CLG somehow pulls it together and stops making stupid decisions. It's not looking good as a plan so far.

Match 4

Josh Augustine - Yordle Ascension (4-5)

Losing by a tiny margin is horrible. I know because it happened to me last week. So, um, sorry, Kelsey! All hail King Rekkles for my tight win this week. Everyone else held their own, but my Fnatic Bot lane buddies keep saving the day.

YellOwSTaR has been my favorite draft pick all season long. His points are high, sure. But most importantly, he's never once made me regret starting him. I can't say that about anyone else on my roster. He's consistently scoring 15-25 points per game -- ADC stats in a position where most players are getting half that.

I had to drop cowTard after he retired this week, but the only mid laner available on the Add/Drop list is Overpow. Ugh.

Kelsey Moser - Diana Fire (3-6)

It came down to the last game. I had him in my sights. But then Link got more than ten assists, and Dexter—didn't.

There's a lesson to be learned here. Never replace ackerman. Stay the course. My only god is top lane Gragas. etc., but why ruin a good track record when I can continue to focus arbitrarily upon Celaver's performance?

He let me down this week. That he did.
