[Discuss] Regions beside Asia are currently, and will always be, irrelevant in competitive League

Let's look at the facts:

**Fact **- EU and NA teams are now comprised of a higher number of 'aliens', that is, people not from those region are competing in, and representing, those regions. It dilutes whatever 'talent' originally is present in those regions and let's Asian players dominate regions besides Asia.

**Fact **- EU and NA teams are not even close to Korean, they are so far behind they struggle to escape any group stage (IEM being a good example of how EU is totally and utterly irrelevant, but also a good reminder that at least one team in NA can hold their own against some Asian teams)

**Fact **- EU not being able to escape groups at IEM, in their home city, proves to the world just how irrelevant they are. They will be completely destroyed at worlds in their home city to solidify this fact for as long as League is around.

**Fact **- EU LCS and NA LCS are practically indistinguishable from the EU and NA CS, with the exception of a very (VERY) small number of teams/games.

**Fact **- The skillcap for EU and NA players is at an all time low. You expect them to fail flashes, miss ults, tp to a dead tower, bad decision making, horrid teamfights where the most common strat is to 'disengage' (because they are not confident in their ability to actually fight); compared to Asia regions, flashes used strategically, on point ults, very difficult to follow teamfights with the amount of actual fighting going on.

**Fact **- When you 'support' a team you are not even supporting anything tangible. The name changes, the manager changes, the players change, the sponsors change, and Riot does nothing to prevent it (They allow and encourage it). Your 'allegiance' to a team actually means nothing.

**Fact **- Worlds last year EU lost to BR, a region that the world considers to be a joke full of people who can only use Mordekaiser. While Mordekaiser was not used, the team that lost was considered an 'all star super team'. I expect next worlds to have BR and even TR beating some EU or NA teams.

**Fact **- EU and NA are only able to take strats from Korea. They watch LCK and they emulate it as much as possible, though with a lot less skill. Therefore, EU and NA players are unable to have an original thought when it comes to strategy (Some small number of teams are the exception, though expect any pocket picks to be nerfed by Riot because they do not want this)

**Conclusion **- EU and NA are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Their teams exist only for the amusement of twitch chat to laugh at how bad they are and argue which is better than which, despite them being just as bad as each other. EU won worlds when there were about 15 players playing this game several years ago, they do the same for World Cup which they won some 50 years ago and claim to still be good at football/soccer. TSM is NAs only hope but they are unable to beat Korean teams and they never will. Bjergsen cannot carry that hard, neither can Turtle.

Discuss.

Fact: Only American indians and eskimo's are truly from "NA" and are not "aliens" and therefor any immigrant that gains citizenship can represent this region. Your'e racist and have a serious problem. Check yourself

I guess you should google the word "fact" and find out its meaning.

While some of your points are valid, I disagree with most of them, here are my reasons.

Point 1: In NA at least, there are 36 NA players, and only 14 aliens. I may have miscounted, but I am pretty sure this is accurate.

Point 2: Actually, at most international competitions, while NA and EU teams do lose to Asian teams, they can be close. C9 and All made it a very close group against NJWS. And TSM just recently beat the team that beat GET. I think it is incorrect to say they aren't even close. KR and CHina are better, but NA and Eu can put up a fight.

Point 3: Eu is one of the weaker regions right now, but they are not irrelevant, and just because they look weak now doesnt mean they cant improve.

Point 4: There is no evidence to support your opinion here, it is just your opinion and nothing else. I completely disagree with this statement.

Point 5: While there is some truth is this statement, I still think you are over- exaggerating it. SOme team has to make a mistake for the other to win in all region, so no region can have flawless play. And while NA and EU teams do mess up, it isn't as often as you seem to think. Pros fail flashes, but not as often as you seem to make out. And if you look at IEM, I think TSM played teamfights well, they waited until they had an advantage in the fight, then they went all in. However, the standard of play is stronger in other regions like Korea, which is why Korea wins all the time.

Point 6: What sport is this not true in? Teams can make roster changes in all regions, not just in the West, however, for me at least, I don't cheer for a team, I cheer for the players. I am not really a C9 fan, I am a fan of balls, meteos, hai, sneaky, and lemonnation. If these players left their team and formed a new one, I would support them, and not C9.

Point 7: Why can't EU loss to BR mean BR is getting better, instead of showing how bad the west is? I think the wildcard teams are improving, to the point I think Brazil should earn one spot to worlds without playing in the wildcard event. It is a great thing for e-sports that new regions can take games off of stronger ones.

Point 8: This seems to me to have the most validity of your points. But even so, here is one point to consider. Unless I am mistaken, Korea plays on the new patches first in a week, thus giving them the first chance to pull out new buffed champs, maybe instead of everyone copying Korea, Korea just picks what are universally accepted to be strong picks on a given patch first. Admittedly I have no proof for this, but just a thought to consider.

Conclusion: While Korea and China are stronger regions, in my mind you are exaggerating the extent of the difference between regions. NA and EU are weaker, but they can still compete and take games off of other regions, as history has shown. If you disagree any of my logic, please point it out so we can continue this discussion.

Simply put, if they invest their lives in games more like those people do, then they shall stay relevant in that scene.

This is in sports, school, business or literally everything. If you don't commit and take the risk you shall not succeed in a competitive environment, there is no Riot babysitting and cherrypicking favourites here in real life (well there is, but you get the idea when I said that don't you??).

BUT with that being said,

While I don't mind the Chinese since they are cool enough, I hate Korean's playstyle. They are too obsessed in wins and never go out of the way to pick any champ that isn't Completely fotm, meta or straight up broken.

This game has its issues for being hilariously balanced in top play, that is true, but when combined with Korean's usual power gaming for victory, it results a pro scene that is always anti-climatic in finals.
