I am watching currently, the LCK spring split finals on twitch, live. LIVE mind you!
Something was off. It was intermission before game 4, and on the waiting screen, i saw at the top, "FINAL MATCH", and right under it, "BEST OF 5".
Not only that but oh so coincidentally, when jhin comes into play game 3, all of a sudden rageblade is magically unavailable to use. Kaisa picked into jhin, jhin cant get rageblade, gg KZ.
Not only that but ive seen dead giveaways in EULCS, and ive heard casters slip up and say phrases like, "its as if it was fixed", "rigged" "scripted win".
If this is the case, then that is an issue. Not only for us fans, but potentially for RIOT itself. Wasnt gambling on teams, fixing matches, etc banned and deemed illegal in LOL? After a player almost comitted suicide in 2012 over fixing matches for his coach to benefit money, now in 2018 we are rigging complete series, and all the while you are slipping up as you do it.
If matches are rigged in LOL, i will delete my account and find another game to play. Because if ive been a HUGE dedicated fan of any LCS and i watch all of the matches on twitch no matter what time it is or where im at, and all along RIOT has been rigging games. Thats a huge let down.
Please anyone else with input please feel free.
But the evidence is too coincidental.
I gurantee KZ 3-1 LCK spring finals. Just because RIOT made it obvious, to thousands. Twitch chat opened up in a spam. "SCRIPTED", "RIGGED".
So i am not the only one.
UPDATE: KZ win 3-1, RIGGED AF. WHY RIOT WHY!
Im going to DOTA.
I'm not saying it's not rigged, but your arguments are invalid. Final Match refers to the entire series, the series is a match, it didn't say final game. You're probably not too familiar with English, but for example, in tennis, a match is the entire series of the match, then broken down into sets, and then into games. Similarly, this match refers to the overall series, not just a particular game. Yes, we use "match" and "game" interchangeably, but that doesn't mean "match" has to mean "game." If you watch the VoD of the entire series, which is listed on Youtube now, and scroll back to after the end of the first game, which Afreeca won, that too said Final Match at the top, yet you conveniently didn't see it and call the match rigged in Afreeca's favour? This is clearly selective vision.
Also, LCK is different to LCS. LCS is hosted by Rito AND broadcasted by Rito, so if they rig anything, and ask the broadcast staff to alter the display like that, that makes sense, because they're all working under one roof. LCK is hosted by Rito Korea, but the broadcast rights are currently split between OGN and SpoTV, with the finals in SpoTV's hands. This opens up a lot of problems, because one, if you conclude the match is rigged by what is displayed by the broadcast, that means Rito has divulged the rigging content to a third party (SpoTV in this case) and asked them to co-operate, which increases the chances of this information being leaked. There is absolutely no reason to do this or risk this, because why do you need to let them know? Regardless of which game it is, be it the first or the last, SpoTV have staff working on the screen depending on the results, there's no need to let them know the results in advance for such a risk, they could just let SpoTV do as they usually do and the results would still be the same. Two, Korea actually has a law that prevents Korean nationals from gambling at all, therefore there is no gambling on the matches for anyone to potentially make a bet on, unless it's an illegal one, but that's a different story. Using your example, this mean the coach can't purposely make their team for monetary benefit through gambling, and if there was a monetary benefit, if would need to be a deal between the two teams, which means even if it was rigged, Rito couldn't have played a part in it. I'm guessing you didn't know about this Korean law either, which again, shows lack of local knowledge.
The only suspicious thing is, under the timer in between the matches, even only after the first game, it only displayed Game 1 to Game 4, no Game 5, which is weird given it's a best of 5 and even says at the top. I wouldn't use this as a basis to call it rigged though, because it's SpoTV, and they're famous for having a lot of technical issues, this display isn't the first and won't be the last. They previously didn't change the summoner spell icons in some games after players changed their summoner spells with Unsealed Spellbook. So for us viewers, it seemed like heal was used, when in fact it was teleport, and weirdly, these display issues weren't challenged as rigged with "oh my God, heal let's that team teleport, so they could win." Funny how people only select the display issues that benefit their argument. Talk about rigged.
I'm no Rito fan, they're atrocious in many ways, but your argument is flawed and invalid.
