Is live stage game actually live?

As in the title, I always wonder how live stage works, especially in EU & NA. I just wondering because the live stage in my country, it delayed for 3 mins, so the players after winning they had to wait for 3 mins to celebrate. It was.....weird.

Most competitive stages have the games played on a tournament realm server, which has the games spectated on actual live setting rather than a client spectate setting with the 3 minute delay. One of the more recent cases where your eyes deceived you was actually at the recent IEM Katowice but that may have been a matter of production as players loaded in and immediately paused for a brief period. Some pro cases where there is usually the 3 minute delay that I've noticed on broadcasts are like Challenger Series qualifiers (specifically NA and EU) since those are both online and not through the TR. In your country, the tournaments may not be played on an official tournament realm. That delay is definitely weird.

Firsthand experience, I've been to MSI back in 2015. There was no delay of any kind. When the game was over, the teams reacted in live time.

I've heard before that there is a 5 second delay between in-game and what is shown to the audience, but honestly don't remember when I heard that nor can I confirm it

YEAAH!!!... I've always wondered this too I've seen them just react over them winning then few minutes later the audience reacts to the win with the "Live" recording.
