There should be 4 Korean Teams in Worlds

Honestly everyone knows it, no point in debating. The first and second seed of the major regions will auto qualify for the Group Stage and all 3d seeds (except Koreans of course) will go to play in stage. Group A - Korean 1st seed with the second seeds of EU and NA + a winner from play in stage that is not EU or NA Group B - Korean 2nd seed with the second seeds of China and Taiwan + a winner from play in stage that is not China or Taiwan Group C - Korean 3'd seed with the first seeds from EU and NA + a winner from play in stage that is not EU or NA Group D - Korean 4th seed with the first seeds from China and Taiwan + a winner from play in stage that is not China or Taiwan

That way at least there will be no Group of Life and Group of Death and all groups will have at least one quality team for sure. (For those of you who do not know if this year had this model KT would be in Worlds and you can google to see what their roster was. NOW THAT is a worlds to look forward to)

No there shouldn't and there's more than enough to debate that.

First of all, it's a world championship! The tournament is supposed to meld global diversity, not produce regional linearity and a stack a deck because X team/region is better. And by diversity, I'm not talking champion meta or anything of that. Those who say add 1/2 of whatever region clearly don't get that.

Secondly, what warrants the teams from Korea that didn't get to the WC a 4th seed just this year?! Just as any other region, if you're that 4th team on the outside looking in, then there's clearly something wrong in that camp unless it was a damn close call. This year's KT Rolster for example as you try to defend: great roster but showed clearly that they didn't deserve the spotlight. I watched those games and saw their whole season progression. It was all Super Team Syndrome and they got their asses kicked where it mattered the most for them. Hell when qualifiers came and passed I preferred IG over them if I had to name one team! At least they made some kind of swing that had fans thinking "what truly if." You didn't get that with KT at all; only freaking memes.

But yeah you know let's give the likes of KT a 5th chance in a year to let fans down

The thought of adding a 4th seed is petty. Just watch the LCK if all you're looking forward to is a 4 Korean semifinal with this train of thought.

Not Korea. World's winning region (Korea) should get 3/4 teams in worlds.

1st place - autoqualify for worlds PLAY-INs Come on, the world champs should be given the chance to represent. I understand the roster changes, the meta changes, players leave. But give them a shot.

Top 3 in winning region qualify for group stages. So total 3 groups, 1 in play-ins.

IF World Champion qualifies by winning Summer Split OR Most points, then the region only gets 3 spots all in groups. IF the World Champion cannot qualify by Summer Split OR Most points, then they auto-qualify for play-ins. They do not play in the gauntlet for 3rd (give third to someone new).

Idk, maybe the rules need some work. It might feel bad to win and not get a 4th spot for your region. It might feel bad to not play in gauntlet and autoqualify.

When there are 6 USA basketball teams in the Olympics, you can talk about Korea getting an extra team in worlds.

The tournament is meant to be a celebration of professional league of legends across the globe, competitive integrity is second to this. If competitive integrity was most important the groups would not be organized randomly with past results of different teams in different tournaments being the backbone for placing. But it isn't, so get used to it.

And honestly, RNG smacked around Samsung in the group stage, Samsung smacked around Longzhu in the quarters, SKT was 'this' close to getting manhandled by Misfits. I would not be surprised in the least if RNG beat SKT next week.
