Afraid of the competition? Aren't we?

Censoring criticisms will not make our game better... Unfortunately.

So so disappointed with everything Riot is doing with this game. =( I made a choice to invest time in this, instead of Dota2, some 7yrs ago. I never expected the game to take the direction it currently is heading, back in the day.

So many things they had set out to do - Champion Diversity, Eliminating Toxicity etc have failed. I don't even care about lcs or lck these days... To think that I was around back in the MLG days.

I merely hope Riot will take away something from it's rival's event. I feel Riot had let us down, in terms of viewing experience of competitive games. things like LCS pros tending to stick to comfort champs etc... even though the game has such a large pool of champions. Just sad.

Weird how two years ago I remember the subreddit embracing TI being on as a fellow mainstream MOBA title. But to a degree I can understand why presently the mention is being blocked out.

Firstly, Riot doesn't control the subreddit as is. Secondly, the community has become rather stringent for controversy regarding League eSports in regards to literally any competitive scene popular enough to be deemed relevant (sports, Overwatch and CS, almost only Smash in the FGC, etc). To an extent, it's gone to show how immature the community has grown to be; much so that a community board has to take the measures to minimize the flames that keep spreading.

I honestly don't blame Riot as much as the vocal masses. But it's nothing I'm all concerned about.

I thought I remember a time when dota2ti was openly discussed on the reddit. And everyone were allowed to discuss some of the exciting matches they watched.
