Here's a cruel reality: Watching every professional League of Legends match from every professional League of Legends league leaves little time to look at much else. You also may find yourself overusing words that begin with the letter "L." Wouldn't it be nice if someone would just come along and suggest the very best games to watch? Good news! We are just that someone! Each week, we'll put you to the five stand-out games of the week--one from each region--as well as pick our top play. Think there are games we missed? Leave your suggestions in the comments below!

Top Play

Base Race We saw a lot of backdoors in the NA Quarterfinals, but ZionSpartan's frantic race against the clock - and Amazing's Lee Sin - may just have been the most exciting, going down to the very last minute, and only succeeding thanks to a last-minute BF Sword purchase.

This Week, Around the World

NA LCS: TSM vs. Team Dignitas TSM was the definite favorite going into the TSM Dignitas match, but Dignitas had some surprises up their sleeve. They picked Nasus in game 1, and used the Doge for a 55 minute cat and mouse game, culminating in an exciting backdoor finish that went down to the last hit. Written by Mattias Lehman. GPL: SEA Regionals Grand Finals - SF5 vs AHQ, Game 3 Most of the attention on AHQ's centered on Westdoor, and rightfully so. Over his term on the team, he's built a reputation for miracle-working, saving his team from the brink of disaster with stellar assassins play. His Fizz in Game 3 promised much of the same - and delivered competently enough, though given that the Fantastic Five were more than aware of its reputation, they dutifully invested effort in mitigating its effectiveness with multiple ganks and good trades from Optimus's Jayce. They did not, however, expect GarnetDevil to be as hungry for a Worlds ticket as he was. The AHQ bot lane carry was in rare form, demonstrating a keen and aggressive edge. Minas and Tsu, SF5's backbone in their shocking upset versus the Taipei Snipers, were slapped aside in three of three games as the devil went on a rampage. Written by James Chen. LPL: StarHorn Royal Club vs OMG Upper Bracket Semifinal (Game 4) The most exciting sets of the LPL Summer Playoffs were definitely the OMG vs StarHorn Royal Club sets. When they met first in the upper bracket semifinals, StarHorn Royal Club started out two games up, but after a miraculous Game Three from OMG, the tides were turning. Cool has had less than stellar success on Yasuo in competitive matches, however, and when he locked in the champion against Ryze, a direct counter, it seemed as if OMG's previous efforts were all for not. Cool's initial laning phase went as expected, but after turning an invasion into a double kill, his Yasuo snowballed out of control. Cool picked up multikills left and right and ended the game with 610 gold per minute and a score line of 20/1/8, a set of numbers nearly beyond comprehension. This game is well worth it if you're a fan of standout individual performances. Written by Kelsey Moser.
