Ok first of all, concerning another top laner that can perform at a LCS level, without prior team experience is extremely hard to find. There may be challenger teams that have good top laners, but to bring a challenger top laner into a professional lcs team and expect him to perform at the level of a top team is a massive request. Bringing solo q players is ever more challenging since team play is so different from solo q. There is a reason top laners like Dyrus, sOAZ, Impact, and Balls have been around for so long. It's because transferring to LCS play from solo q is a large change for top laners. They have to learn how to lane swap, they have to have a large champion pool of tanks, they have to know how to teleport when and where well. They have to deal with 3v1 tower dives, and they have to manage with a very minimal amount of farm. None of these things a solo q top laner has to do, that's why top laners are so hard to replace, and NA isn't exactly bursting at the seems with lcs ready top laners.
About C9, they have been the most stable team since they first came into the LCS, since they entered C9 has not missed a NA finals. Their roster had not changed until this season, so all those years of fine tuning their synergy and fixing strategies with their primary shotcaller are reset. Hai was the primary driving force behind the C9 machine. However his mechanical skill at the game had not been up to par with the other midlaners. Thus anytime C9 lost most of the time Hai was blamed by the community, Now finally after all those years of working with the same line up Hai retires due to his injury, the primary shot caller of C9, the driving force of team could no longer direct the others in game.
If you expect C9 to not suffer from this loss then you are gonna be dissapointed. Meteos had to take on the job of being the primary shotcaller for the team, and while he may be good at it, he isn't Hai who was called a world class shot caller. As for Incarnation, unless you have the ability to play on stage for one of NA's most succesful teams and go undefeated you have no reason to flame him. His mechanics are superb and he has the ability to make plays of high caliber. Now before you begin thinking "Oh man this dude is just a Incarnation fan, or is just looking to make a good name for himself." I want you to consider the role Incarnation was placed in and how you people who flame him have responded.
At the end of the Spring Split people were clamoring for Hai to retire, it was on Reddit, Twitch chat, and here in the forums. We all saw that Hai was past his mechanical prime, and C9 was not at the top like they used to be, so Hai retires and Incarnation comes in. Now only a few months later those same people who were begging Hai to leave are now asking for him to return. If you take the primary leader of C9 out and replace him with a new player with better mechanics but not the same shot calling ability naturally the team will have to change. I'm not saying all of this because I'm a die hard C9 fan, in fact im glad that TSM and C9 aren't on top, I think it's time we had a different team on top. I do believe that the community is being overly harsh on C9 and Incarnation specifically because they aren't 1st place when a huge part of their team changed.
