The Results

Match 1

Andrew Whitmore - Rainbow Unicorns (5-3)

Another week down and the Rainbow Unicorns are flying high. Yes, unicorns can fly (but only when they win the week). This week was pretty much decided before NA even began, with EU having one of the worst weeks ever. Luckily, NA didn't follow suit and I picked up scores of points from Altec and Doublelift's quadrakills. Also, thanks to Gustaf crunching stats, I learned that I'm the only player that has secured the highest points twice as well as the player with the most points on average. Hopefully this trend continues on, as most of my incredibly hard weeks are over with and my next few weeks should be easy sailing. Having just jinxed the entire rest of the season by saying that, knock on wood so the Unicorns come out on top! Everyone knows I'm cooler than Gustaf anyway.

Kelsey Moser - Diana Fire (3-5)

I lost again. I shouldn't be surprised. Hope is a vain and terrible thing. Yet to be felled by the wretched Rainbow Unicorns with their hugs and kisses serves only to add insult to injury.

Celaver, my pet, my faith in you has again served me well (no, I really don't know where my fixation upon this particular draft pick stems), but these others, they have betrayed me. And so, xPeke returns from the bench to wreak havoc upon Gambit and the Wolves. Fredy shall also see the light of day rather than risking a poor showing from ackerman against CLG and TSM. Mark my words, the yordles shall rue their ascension.

Match 2

Mattias Lehman - Gustaf's Gentlemen (6-2)

At the end of the draft, I said that Dragonslayer Teemo and Rainbow Unicorns were my main rivals. I’m currently 2-0 against the satanic influence of Teemo after a dominant victory last week, and 1-0 against the Rainbow Unicorns. So you’d think I’d feel comfortable with where I was. And yet I’m starting to feel worried up on my throne. All I have to do to stay in first place is not lose. Simple, right? I’ll need Shiphtur to recover this week, as he only earned me 14.72 points last week. All else failing, I’m rooting for the two teams who have beaten me thus far to take down my rivals. My friends are supportive, telling me that "even if I lose and they win, I’ll be tied for first." But they don’t understand; when you play in the Lolesports Fantasy League, you win or you die.

Jack Ho - Dragonslayer Teemo (4-4)

Alas, when it rains, it pours. My third loss in a row and I've dropped to the middle of the pack. SK Gaming continues to stumble as they suffered their first 0-2 last week. It could have been acceptable if they lost in 60+ minute games, then at least I would've gotten more points for drawn out matches but instead, they lost handily to ROCCAT and Fnatic. If SK Gaming wants a better seed for the EU playoffs and also a fighting chance at Worlds, I hope they return to better form, for their sake and mine.

Match 3

Thomas Watts - Code Monkeys (5-3)

Excellent news, my fellow Monkeys. Your team pulled out a hard-fought 208.8-205.5 decision over the crew over at Yordle Ascension. Per convention, extra Fritos and Mountain Dew for all the loyal Monkeys out there. In doing so, the Monkeys roared into a tie for second place with the Rainbow Unicorns. Grabbing ROCCAT's Jankos off the waiver wire has turned into a solid move as ROCCAT continues to surge in EU. Since the Evil Geniuses cannot seem to get on track, Jankos will take over as starting Jungler for the Monkeys barring a spectacular schedule for EG over the last 3 weeks. Unless a gem falls over to the waiver wire, the Monkeys are set for the stretch run. I must ask that if you decide to hop aboard our bandwagon, bring some Mountain Dew. We're running low.

Josh Augustine - Yordle Ascension (3-5)

Losing by less than five points is never fun. And it's even more painful when it's caused by me benching the wrong players. Someone needs to start a support group for this sort of thing.

Hello, my name is Josh, and I've given up all hope of ever knowing which LCS players I should start each week. I thought Shook -- you know, the Jungler on the No. 1 team in EU -- would be a safe pick. Nope, I should've gone with the Jungler on the last place team instead. Duh!

Maybe I should just replace my bench players with retirees like Reginald and Hotshotgg. At least then I'd know that I would start the best players each week!

Match 4

Ferguson Mitchell - FergSquad (4-4)

Momentum be damned—I've won four games out of the last five, and am looking at another solid week to add to the fun. There's nothing better than when a strategy pays off big, and my drafting of two back-to-back ADCs (Vasili and Cop) isn't letting me down. Barring Crumbzz's miserable performance (Dignitas pls), my team is made up of rock stars and could very well push for the gold. I'm only two games back from the frontrunner, Gustaf, and I'm ahead in the tiebreaker. My opponent this week, Glyceroll, is starting 3 positions from CLG, and my match may very well hinge on whether or not they come out behind LMQ on Day 2. Go forth, my magnificent LMQ bot lane and conquer!

Trent Murray - This is My Smurf (2-6)

Having only one player go over 30 points leads to a sad, sad week. Impaler and Imaqtpie had awful weeks, and Alliance isn't as dominant as they were before their surprise loss to the Copenhagen Wolves. I'm definitely out of contention, but hopefully Alliance can turn things around and let me spoil the last few weeks for some other teams.
