Questions About Pro Leagues

Really anyone can actually answer these things and it is my curiosity that wants to know really.

Question 1. Why do different regions go to new patches at different times? IE; I think its the LCK that is main one i'm talking about. They seem to be still playing on 5.1 when other regions are on 5.2 despite already being further in their season the most.

Question 2. During live events if their is a technical problem on either side that lasts longer than the given pause time, do you just continue the pause or do you forfeit the match or call it a tie and have a rematch later. If you do continue the pause how long would you continue it before concluding the match for another day (obvious it would have to be pretty extreme to reach this lvl but curiosity isn't bound by logic)

Question 3. Apart from fines issued to players and ban's taken away from teams, do you have any other actions that could be taken against pro teams. IE: team 1 has 4 players charged and convicted of a crime that is quiet serious, would riot drop the team from the season, or ban those 4 players, and just let the team try fill in sub's.

Question 4. I read somewhere that riot employees are not allowed to compete in league, curious to know why (if it's actually different to the reasons other sports do it) Also does this extend to ex-employees

Question 5. I think somewhere I heard/read that in N.A they must have atleast 2 players on the team that are from that region? Does this also extend to other regions?

Question 5.2. If yes they must have atleast 2 players from that region, do those players have to be on the active roster or can they be sub's

Question 6. How does different regions have a few ways about their season. IE: LCS has a season when teams vs each other (twice each spilt I think) with a best of 1. Where other regions have 2 games with 3 points for 2-0 win, 1 point for a 1-1 and 0 points for a 0-2. Then again another region has each team vs each other twice (I think again) in a best of 3 series. I guess the question really here is. Why are you running your pro leagues around the world differently and do you think this actually help bring the best teams out in each region.

Thankyou to any people/reds who answer these for me, all in all I ask these questions because I have always burned for knowledge.

Edit. This is an old post from oce server but nothing really happened. Soo that's why its involved 5.1/5.2

1: I have no clue

2: The Riot tech people literally have the ability to change computers for a player mid-match. There really isn't a problem unsolvable by that.

3: (This is an assumption) Riot doesn't want to f*** up their match schedule by kicking a team out, so they use subs (like TDK in the NA LCS)

4: (More assumptions) Riot doesn't let employees play professionally while employed by Riot. They can briefly or long-term leave Riot, and can be a professional player before joining Riot (like Krepo), but while under the employment by Riot, no. This is because inside Riot, they might be able to see game-breaking bugs or other things to give them an advantage. Also, there's no time to both play League competitively and work at Riot at the same time.

5 & 5B: No idea. They make sense though.

6: It may be because different regions have different mindsets while watching League. It also may be that the Western regions (EU and NA) are too unfocused to watch a bunch of Bo2's or Bo3's every day or two, and prefer to watch every team play, but only 2 games in 2 days.

I hope this helps, and isn't too filled with assumptions.
