Noob Friendly LCS Streams?

Now, before I even say anything, let me just say that I personally don't endorse DOTA or want to start and LOL > DOTA superiority discussions, just want to real talk about something I thought would be a good idea for riot to include.

I watched the DOTA championships on Twitch the other day, just out of curiosity. I know nothing about DOTA, so the main stream was very confusing and things were happening that I didn't understand. A few streams down from the main one, there was one labeled "Noob Friendly Stream". Now, this was a stream made by the DOTA casters themselves with new player specific explanations and casting. This really helped me, and it was a very friendly environment. The mods and viewers in chat answered questions that were asked and the casters thoroughly explained every move made in the game.

Now, as a long time LCS viewer, I know that when I first started watching, a lot of what was said and done was left pretty unexplained for me. Of course, I eventually learned as I played the game more and more, but it would have helped my learning to know and understand what the pros were doing, what tower pressure did, what the meta truly meant, etc.

I think that having separate casters on a separate stream for new/newer players explaining things as the game goes on would definitely help others understand the games and such.

So, fellow players, what do you think? Should we have a newer player focused stream? Or should we just keep the current 1 stream method?

It's a good way to help introduce new player to League. As Riot has stated, it's difficult to cram so much information into a new player's head, since League is chock full of it. I'd actually be willing to do one with others here, if interested.

LoL is already a very noob friendly game. One of the problems i have with dota is the gameplay clarity is horrible which is why they NEED the noob friendly stream. LEague of legends is more obvios on what a team is doing.

I should check this DOTA stream out, I checked out some DOTA games a while back and had absolutely no idea what was going on (the map is so confusing, everything looks the same...)

I remember, even though I had been playing the game for a while, there was still a learning curve when it came to watching games. I would say it'd be a good idea, it's tough for a viewer sport to only be understandable by people who have a lot of experience in the game. Everyone understands how goals in Football/Soccer are scored, it makes intuitive sense. There's a lot more to learn about League, and having greater accessibility would help.

Not a bad idea. It's always good having something to help you understand stuff when starting out. You can always learn something new :)
