The Results

Match 1

Josh Augustine - Yordle Ascension (3-4)

I thought Alliance's sudden stall this week doomed me to defeat, but the rest of my team stepped up at just the right time. I owe Fnatic and Supa Hot Crew some flowers and a thank-you note. Most of my crew rushed for the century mark and got darn close.

I think I can finally start Link over cowTard without suffering a nervous breakdown every week. Mid has always been my weak spot, and if I can finally count on it, I should have no problem winning out the rest of the season. I topped the score charts this week, and this is only the beginning. The Yordle Ascension is at hand!

Andrew Whitmore - Rainbow Unicorns (4-3)

Welp. This week was a bust for everyone at least. North America (specifically CLG, LMQ, and EG) can’t make up their mind on where they stand in the rankings. CLG keeps losing to bottom tier LCS teams while EG can’t decide if they all want to play well or throw harder than a solo queue game. North America’s inconsistencies are destroying the top teams in the fantasy League – and it needs to stop before playoffs or we’re in for another disappointing year at Worlds.

Match 2

Thomas Watts - Code Monkeys (4-3)

My fellow Monkeys, fourscore and several days ago, our foreMonkeys came together with one goal: win the Lolesports Fantasy League. Today, I am proud to report that we've taken a major step toward that goal following a 446.07-427.18 victory. The win puts the Monkeys above .500 for the first time at 4-3 for the season. As always when the Monkeys win, there are extra Fritos and Mountain Dew to be had as a celebration. Unfortunately, not all is well in Code Monkeyland since Diamond has taken a back seat for Gambit Gaming. Your Head Monkey acted quickly by putting Diamond on the waiver wire, and grabbing Jankos to take his spot. While it isn't an ideal situation, Helios and Jankos make for a decent pair to Junglers to play matchup with. Otherwise, the Code Monkeys are set. There's always room for more Monkeys on the bandwagon, so jump aboard. Fritos and Mountain Dew in the front.

Trent Murray - This is My Smurf (2-5)

Boy, Alliance hurt me bad this week. I was pleased by Impaler's performance, and Cloud9 showed that they may still have a bit left in them, but at this point it may be too late to save the season. A better Day 3 from Alliance may have earned me the win this week, as they have been my only consistent scorers. I'm going to have to see what's available in terms of Top lane and Mid options for matchup plays moving forward.

Match 3

Ferguson Mitchell - FergSquad (3-4)

Another week, another win. FergSquad is on a roll, and just in time to prep for a run into the big leagues. With this week's second-highest score (thanks to LMQ and Curse), we stand a great shot of making it even further. The question now becomes how. Voyboy is sitting on the bench, despite being a monster last week. But Bjergsen is manning the Mid for us, and Voy's teammate Cop is occupying the flex. Sounds like trade material to me! I'll keep the squad intact as we head into Week 8, but I'll definitely be throwing out a few trade offers, possibly to replace the mediocre Crumbzz. But in the meantime, I'll just be keeping up the good ole' chant "Worst to First! Worst to First!"

Mattias Lehman - Gustaf's Gentlemen (5-2)

I don't even know what to say. Curse shut down C9 and DIG, allowing Cop to outscore Kerp. Vasilii and Mor ran wild while sOAZ pulled in as many points as Shiphtur. This just wasn't my week. Luckily, Dragonslayer Teemo and Rainbow Unicorn both also lost, so I get to hold onto my No. 1 spot for now.

Match 4

Kelsey Moser - Diana Fire (3-4)

I would like to be able to say that I precisely calculated and estimated the amount of points my team would yield, but I'd be lying. Instead, I would like to thank SK Gaming for failing to ban Kassadin against Selfie, with additional shoutouts to Celaver and Creaton for having my back, even though Millenium didn't rack up that many points as a team. Next week I might finally want to consider bringing xPeke back as a flex and consider retiring Celaver as a risky pick.

Jack Ho - Dragonslayer Teemo (4-3)

The struggle is real as I lost for a second week in a row, but this time by an even greater margin. My attempt to diversify my starters backfired as Genja demonstrated that his high point total on Week 6 was just a fluke and gave me the least amount of points for my team. My two stars, Jesiz and Tabzz, had a mediocre Super Week and couldn't compare with the triple digit points Selfie put up. Looking forward, I may need to hop back on the SK train and hope for the best.

I have to say, this looked like a close race, but the Gentleman may pull ahead now...
