Why is this not the rules?

I do not understand how riot has not implemented a play 2 days in a row ruling.

If a team plays their first set on friday they should have to play on saturday.

Otherwise it gives an edge to that team if they get a pass on saturday.

It seems like a simple oversight, but maybe they just do not think it means that much.

Why would that be a rule?

Tracking the trend it shows that in 7 weeks of play there have been 10 wins, 4 loses, and 0 loses to another team that played also played on Friday; across the NA LCS. This may not be the largest sample size to test on, but this trend is worrisome.

I don't think it's important enough. Your data pool is pretty small (14 games), so you can't really make a true "trend" from it imo, so that's technically a moot point. While teams do get the advantage of practicing in-between days/get a day of rest, I think the impact that practice has is minimal, especially because they would be scrimming against the other team that also has that day off, so... it's probably more so a rest day for teams with a bit of analysis on their opponents for the next day. In fact, when you think about it, Friday teams that play consecutively technically go into Saturday with a disadvantage because the teams that didn't play on Friday are able to analyze and practice counter-tactics with more teams to scrim with (5 other teams).

First off, the data set is small. . Secondly, 3 of the wins involved TSM, who hasn't lost to anyone on any day. Thirdly, Another win involved IMT who has only lost to TSM. Also two more wins involved someone who beat Fox. Fourthly, most of the games went according to how we would expect given the standings. Only two did not. Both involved CLG. One was APX>CLG. But this was early in the split and CLG was playing like garbage early in the split. The other was CLG>C9 last week. Well CLG is playing much better now.
All in all I don't see anything that leads me to believe that the team playing Saturday has any significant disadvantage against the team that played Friday.
