I get the CS/promotion tourney changes but...

It's still pretty shitty that no CS team got into the LCS. The LCS teams have a ton more experience/resources, and also just simply the on-stage experience.

I completely understand the changes to add stability to the LCS, but it really screws over the CS team that wins.

I think the best example is Renegades. I can't say with 100% positivity, but they may have lost the BO5. Now they're actually a decent team after much needed refinmenet.

Anyway, just my thoughts... I honestly can't argue either way is better. It's still shitty for someone.

NA Promotion hasn't happened yet, and even if it does favor LCS teams, I think it's a much better system for the players since a team won't be gutted just for dropping into the CS. Plus, if a team can't beat one of the three worst LCS teams, then what would be enjoyable about their experiences in the LCS? They'll just bring up fresh talent to (as I said) be gutted when they get relegated back down. Plus fans can still root for their team even if they did place 10th, which some people (such as myself) probably find favorable since the last several teams I was rooting for were relegated (I started rooting for Winterfox initially when I started watching during the 2015 spring split, then TDK and Enemy, now I'm between IMT and REN).

Yeah, the EU challenger series is way different than the NA one and wasn't really worth watching at all this year. While Huma/CW did give themselves the best chance of making the LCS, their overall strategies and champion pools were incredibly narrow with more luck than actual skill involved. After watching all the NA challenger games and seeing all the roster swaps, I entirely expect Apex to make it into the LCS and for TIP to drop out. Apex is just too good right now (them having two jg's gives them a pretty big advantage in bo5's), while TIP's new roster has proven to be a massive disappointment. TDK decided to randomly give their two best players to Renegades for some reason, so I don't expect anything to change between those two teams, while Dignitas (although they suffered a massive tilt-inspiring week) is still better on paper than current TDK/TIP.
