When games are being remade, the same champs should be be played

G2 vs SUP. The game is being remade because SUP's jungler got stuck in a creepblock and had to flash out so they're remaking the game and g2 is banning TF. Anyone who was watching knows TF was winning them the game.

Well there are two problems with that. One, they'll be playing the same champion that caused the bug for the restart, which means it could happen again. Two, their strategy for that game has already been revealed. Even if they picked the same champs except the one that was bugged, it might ruin the team comp for the strategy they were originally going to run.

While I understand the reasons for keeping the game the same, aside from the glitch, I think it would be best to allow a different comp so as to avoid another potential glitch.

I don't remember who got glitched against the tower, so feel free to make me eat my words if they picked the champ again.

I totally agree. That was BS that they let them chose new champs.

If they play the same champs, it's not fair because the strategy the teams were going to use is out there.

What? When I was watching LCS 2 years ago it was a rule for all bans and champions to be exactly the same if the game is being remade, unless it was entirely a champion's fault for the remake.

If the game was remade because of creep block then why was that allowed? It should result in disqualification.

If you're doing a remake, it makes sense to do a second pick/ban phase. That's a part of the game from a strategic point of view, so in order to ensure the most balanced and competitive game, it can't be omitted.

Two problems mate

  1. Pretty much all remakes happen because of a bug with a specific champion so why should a team have to continue with said bugged champion (think Gragas at worlds 2015), he was legitimately bugged and rendered unplayable for the pro stage, why should suffer through that.

  2. The team now know the play style of the pick and can more easily counter the moves made. Meaning it is likely detrimental to the team that was winning (as their strategy is hindered while the losing teams strategy wasn't working anyway).

I feel like previous remakes have had same champions... I dunno I guess it's up to the Referee...

i mean, thats kinda like if, in american football for example :

during a play, the wide receiver who was gunning for the ball hits a referee, and misses his reception because of the referee standing in the wrong place. they offer a ''play remake'', but force both teams to do the exact same play, and throw the exact same pass......

or in hockey, ref accidentally blocks a shot that wouldve reached the goal. they give the player a chance to redo his thing in a breakaway, but he has to shoot the exact same part of the net........

kinda defeats the purpose of strategy, doesnt it?
