Open Letter from a fan

Dear Riot Games,

I have been a fan of your game, League of Legends, for around 5 years now. I love it so much that I watch the competitive scene. Furthermore, I practice casting games to someday work as an eSports personality for my love of your organization and the game you've gifted people like me. There are two questions I wanted to get answered.

First, there are websites and services for elo-boosting. The people who run these sites or push these services receive money for such pitiful conduct. I feel people don't care about competitive integrity anymore. They are breaking the law by earning money from what you have established as a saying that roughly goes as, "Don't make an experience that is free into a paid experience." Finally, my question is, "Does Riot Games do anything about this? What's in your power to stop such despicable action of breaking the law? Will you do anything in the future to stop these misconducts excepting from the professional scene?"

Sorry my first question was long, but I will have to apologize again. I think my next question is longer, perhaps. I am the third child of five children. I have two younger sisters and two older brothers. I was born and raised half of my life in the beautiful city of Istanbul, although my family is Korean. My family is financially unstable and you may just picture why. (My parents are Christian missionaries who were not funded by any church.) My oldest brother who was going to med-school stopped going to college to release some financial burden from my family. My second brother did not finish college and is now working in Turkey as a hotel employee. I was going to college, but my tuition seemed demanding. I am planning to quit school and be enlisted to the required military service in Korea late next year.

As I have mentioned earlier, I love your game. It led me into the amazing experience of how eSports should be. You guys really changed my perspective on both life and the world. I have also mentioned earlier that I wanted to become a caster thanks to your wonderful universe of inspiring champions. Although I am not the most mellifluous individual, I believe I am eloquent in the arts of speaking to an audience in both Korean and in English. My Turkish is rusty from not speaking it for 9 years, but it will be as eloquent, given the opportunity and time. I say all these things to maybe impress you, but in reality I am here to ask you for advice in what I can do to make my dream as a caster to become true. My question is, "How can I become a successful caster? What can I do to get my feet wet in terms of getting connections and being exposed to the huge community of LoL players?"

With such minimal budget, I don't know where to start. I try to commentate over games as practice everyday. I record some days, but I wish I knew there was a guide to help me how to achieve my dream of becoming a caster I love to play and watch. I will continually support your organization and share my experience with you. I will wait and hope to hear from you guys. Thanks so much for your attention although my story and questions were boring!

Sincerely, David (JoonSeok) Lee
