So what really makes a thread G+ worthy?

I'm pretty passionate about a certain subject, and I saw a problem within it. Knowing it's something that isn't talked about often, I decided to try to make a really good post about it to bring it out into the open and get people talking about a part of the game a lot of people ignore.

I wrote a pretty long post going into a lot of detail about whatever I could, knowing that the standards for posting there are very high. So after a few attempts, and trying to refine the post each time, I'm ultimately left with the feedback that the subject itself isn't good for the forum by nature, because it was a binary agree/disagree kind of thing in the mod's eyes, I guess.

Yet I don't get much from that. I even got a reply from someone (I guess by viewing my profile, since pending G+ posts arent visible) that was really insightful, so it seemed to me like a good discussion was possible. And I've looked through several other shorter, simpler topics that made it to G+ and I truly am not sure what those threads had that mine didn't.

Here's my thread, which I've reposted in gameplay on the advice of the mods: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/5EKEGsTU-we-need-to-take-a-look-at-champion-bans-for-ranked-twisted-treeline

One of the things that I was told which troubles me is this: Unfortunately, the demographics make it unlikely that very many people would be able to contribute to the thread. Again, we don't automatically reject posts that cater to a limited segment of the boards population, but we have to draw the line somewhere.

This makes me feel like if something isn't about Summoner's Rift, it's going to be automatically rejected. Yet despite the implication that few would be able too contribute to the thread, I had a reply before the thread was approved, as noted before. Just because an issue concerns something that isn't popular doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a spotlight if it's a potentially good discussion.

I knew that the odds of any given person getting a thread there were not high due to the standards set forth, but really, what makes a good G+ post? I feel like I generally hit the guidelines set forth, and still got shot down (maybe "shot down" is too harsh, as the mods were constructive)

Help me out here- I'd like to be a better poster- and being someone who does care about various aspects of the game, help me shape the guidelines and what matters here.

(I want to add that I do appriciate the mods' interactions with me on this prior; it's just that this most recent response has left me with more questions than answers)

Not to put too fine a point on it, bit I told you exactly the opposite. I even used the phrase "we don't automatically reject". Twice, in fact. Your post was subject to a tremendous amount of review and discussion, far more than the average. Ultimately, those of us that do G+ reviews were split right down the middle.

Here's my thread, which I've reposted in gameplay on the advice of the mods:

I'm glad you took my advice. I'll be tracking that thread to see the response.

I'm the guy who replied to your thread. I found it by searching "Treeline" in the search bar and absolutely not by viewing your profile. It seems strange if the thread was indeed pending and invisible on the G+ subforum, yet visible via search results.
