The "Other" Report

So like, it's cool and all how there is an "Other" report option for what's not listed. However, without context, how can the mods know what is actually being reported? "Other" could mean literally anything at all. The mods have no way of knowing if you're reporting a poster for, example, an inappropriate username.

Why is it then that we aren't able to leave a note along with the report for exposition's sake? Is it the same weak excuse of why Mods aren't capable of "moving" threads? Because Rito is too cheap to pay a real programmer to add useful features?

All reports are reviewed on their own merit. While the category can be helpful, it's not critical to have the right one.

Most (not all) that fit into the "Other" category are usually rather obvious.

If the guy's username is offensive, it's usually pretty easy to notice. If the thread is literally 4 years old and someone reported it as necro, it's usually pretty easy to notice.

There are some that aren't that easy...but generally, if someone can't tell why the report was filed, that's generally enough to say "there's not a good enough reason to change anything here" and move on.
