Well i understand that not many people can appreciate sophisticated ways of laconism so my post makes them itch to moderate something.
That's not really how laconic "works", at least with regard to discussion. Using the fewest words possible is really only applicable to clear-cut concepts that have been largely settled. The notion that we should permaban someone who does not allow a player with Relic Shield to last hit the cannon minions is neither of those things.
You have to remember that "low-effort" contains a number of aspects, many of which were visible in your post:
- Overly simplified: Your post doesn't discuss any of the complexities associated with this issue. Did you know, for example, that Riot has a firm stance that CS belongs to no one? That's partially because they're not going to enforce a meta, but also because lag and fog of war are things. Why does this rise to the level of a permaban? Are there circumstances in which the ADC is justified in not letting the support take the CS?
- Hyperbolic: Your post makes an inflammatory claim in the hope of "provoking" discussion. Permabanning for something like this is clearly unjustified, but that term seems to have been used solely for shock value, which is suspect.
- Not Your Content: "I think X. Discuss."is most often of questionable value. It tends to preclude discussion because people have to argue about the base assumptions. In this circumstance, this is the very definition of low effort because it asks others to do your work for you.
Given that taking CS is not a punishable behavior by definition, your post should not have been in Player Behavior. Discussions of who should take what CS and under what circumstances most properly belong in Gameplay.
If you dont respect me or my efforts put into composing that post, can you at least respect all people that replied there and put their time to write long long responses dripping from effort?
That's an interesting question, but I think it ultimately devolves into Argumentum ad Populum. Just being able to provoke responses doesn't automatically make the post productive and it certainly doesn't make the post boards appropriate. Any number of GD posts make excellent examples of that principle.
I also don't think it's fair to characterize the moderation team as lacking respect for you. We spend considerable time and effort trying to find the minimally invasive way to address a post. Actioning always comes from trying to find a balance between the needs of the boards community and the needs of the individual poster. That conflict can be difficult to navigate, especially given the number of people who essentially disagree with moderation as a concept.
