At random points in game, the client tabs out
For seemingly no reason while in game, a command box style window appears for a second, then the client minimizes. It seems to happen either during rapid teamfights or at random. I can re-open it easily.

I was able to catch the title of the command prompt the last time I saw it, which helped with searching for the solution. If it is the same issue that everyone else is having, here is the solution: Control Panel > (Search for) Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler (Run as Admin) > Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Office. Right-click the one called 'OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration' and click 'Disable'. That should do it. It appears to have worked for me.

Riot please find out what's wrong. It can't be a coincidence that this is happening to multiple people that play League.
Disabling a Microsoft Office task fixes this. But what does it have to do with League???

This was happening to me 3/4 weeks ago reported the bug from client but hasn't happened to me since. Though for me it always popped up to the client, from in game or other apps like chrome, the client would just pop to the front. As often as a few times a minute.
Happened to me as well. The fact that it minimizes League to do literally NOTHING is immensely infuriating.

I had it only one or two days. Than it disappeared again for no reason. (I did nothing against it)
Update for anyone. It is a windows update or a Microsoft Update. Record your screen with OBS or something and wait for it to pop up. Just delete the file that comes up in the recording. But the comments show that you guys got that figured out lmao
I just made my game boarderlees from video settings in game. And made the resoluton higher so it looks like full screen and i stoped !
So I've never seen a command box style window; mine just minimizes about 2-3 minutes into every game. I tested it on multiple training games, and it happened at about the same time every game. I did the suggested fix -- the whole disable Microsoft task thing -- and I'm still getting tabbed out at the same point. :/ Makes early game trades really risky.
This started to happen with me yesterday. The only thing which has changed is that I installed Utorrent few days ago. Happened twice so far and it's disgusting me since it happened during a ranked game.
It's stupid windows 10 task scheduler trying and failing to update office.
I just deleted the task, which made it stop doing it
This happened to me on my old computer a lot, but after I got my new computer for Christmas it stopped. However, today this started happening again. :(

until rito fixes it, u should turn the option [close client during game] on for now. I turn the option on due to my PC being a toaster, n i've never seen something like that happen.

I've had this in other games, not just League. Unfortunately I don't have a Microsoft Office installation. However I did have a buncha stuff related to a network printer that I installed around the time I started having this issue. Hopefully that'll do the trick.
I'd imagine this has to do with anything running in the taskbar that has an hourly task set for updating/etc. It's odd that it hasn't really been much of a problem until recently, but stranger things have happened. I'm just hoping it stops tabbing me out of Dark Souls 3 during bosses...

Now I don't have Office so what on earth is going on? It didn't use to do this, so it's def. a new thing. But I can't figure out what it is that is causing it. Does anyone have the same issue?? :'(
Will simply playing in Window mode fix this? However, that too me is a "short time" fix, and not a full fix.
