Black screen during champ select

So i accepted a match on ranked. I was first pick and right after i saw i'm banning, the game said "Retrieving data from server". It stayed like that for about 15-20 seconds, then a cancel button appeared. It kept staying like this. Event when i pressed cancle it didnt stop to show that.After 2 mins or more of that i restarted my game client, and now my lp is -3. how is that fair?
