Oracles Elixir persists on Howling Abyss after expiration

My friend and I were doing a Teemo 1v1 and after buying Oracles Elixir I noticed that after it expired, I could sometimes still get true sight of his mushrooms, given at a much smaller range than with the Elixir active. I checked my buff bar both times here after expiration
