[Gameplay] Katarina autoattacks recall q and r stop working altogether

I just got out of a game playing as Katarina mid with a score of 14-1-1 when my recall suddenly stopped working after being messaged by a friend in game. Then my q stopped as well as my ult. I tried to change the keybindings as well as relog to no avail. I decided to tell my team my issue and worked on figuring out what worked and found i could still ward shunpo and W. I tried to shunpo ult to test it out and my ult would not work so i flashed and could still use my items. This bug is rather infuriating as in it got rid of the biggest part of my kit and forced my team to have to ff as a result. This is a ranked loss that my team did not deserve.

PS i decided to allow others to have a look at the match in question and decide for themselves what should be done. I can earn the LP back however this is a gamebreaking bug and it needs attention the sooner the better. As i have already stated the bug happened after being messaged and no i would rather not try and reproduce a bug.

anyways i want to let you know the amount of times this bug has happened to me has decreased substantially over the past 6 months and if any of you come across this bug and have the fortune of knowing how to fix it before losing a winning game here is the 1 true fix.

You need have you char die obviously its better to die to an objective but of course depending on time in game i suggest informing your teammates so they can be ready to stay out of fights until you are up

Hey! I encountered the same problem! Was not fixed by exiting and rebooting client/game. My guess is there is a discrepancy somewhere in a variable that decides whether or not the player is dead. For example client side the game believes we're dead but not server side. It is always a near death encounter that triggers it for me, so HP must be hitting 0 on one computer and not the other somehow. I don't know much about the programming behind your game but my guess is it's just some boolean variable that determines being alive that is set to false client side, makes it so we can't use abilities.

TL:DR; The game thinks you're dead I believe, current fix is to die. A possible fix RIOT side would be something as simple as a check 2 seconds or so after death to see if the server registered it / or client. Hope this helps.

But why the staff doesn't try to fix the problem...?? The same think happened to me playing with Katarina....and it's almost cost me the victory...it's a seriously problem for me because i use to play kata in PvP games

I had the same problem on the first day I buy and try Katarina... I thought I would do something relaxed since the servers keep giving me 500+ ping spikes, and this is what I get. Come on Riot.... I understand new patch, but this is becoming too much. I had errors patching, I disconnected in ranked, and now I can't even play a bot game with a new champion because her SKILLS don't work.

Can confirm this glitch is REAL and is happening A LOT. Twice to me in ranked so far. For those of you suffering, I don't know the exact cause yet but I'm fairly sure it's related to flash+ full combo. Remedied for me by dying in anyway. Try getting executed safely. Will update if i find out anything.

RIOT PLEASEEE lookin into this, it's really frustrating! It's not lag or anything :c -SkySymphony

10 minutes ago i played with katarina. After a couple of minutes i killed an enamy champion. and after that i can not recall anymore, can only do my "E" spell When i clicked at them i only get the funny sound "click button sound" After reconnecting no help. After reboot my whole system. Still does not help. After i was killed in the game then everything was working fine. I also restored al my settings to default but that didnt also help. I hope you can do something about it.

This is what i write 2 days aggo. I have te same problem.

Same thing happened to me 3 times already and it is really a game changer not to be able to use B,Q and R for Kat . Tried relogging and still didn't help. Please look into and fix this bug i'm begging you

happened to me also after about 5-10 minutes 3 times already. the game i am in currently it has happened and pretty much turned the game in their favour. q stoped then b and finally r. tried re loading game, logging out and in and restarting my computer.

This just happened to me in a regular SR game on Team Builder. I could not R, Q, or back... and it lost us the game. It was very late game, and I was carrying (lol). The keys would not press, and clicking on the ability would not allow me to cast it.

Glitch confirmed. 38 min into a game Q stopped working. Possibly R as well, did not use. Was able to fix the glitch my dying to blue buff.

Recall also did not work. Strange bug.

Just happened to me in Patch 5.7 thankfully only in a normals... Q B and R are not working and Q is replaced with an Auto Attack

i encountered the same problem , and during the game i switch computer and same problem.... after the game this problem is disapear, but im rage during the game, why ? bug or hacker ?

I have just had the same problem, i have even restarted my computer, unplugged and re-plugged my keyboard. my w and e work just fine but q,r and b don't, even if i use the mouse to click on them they don't work. I am going to try spread the word to bring this bug to riots attention. Hopefully something will be done about it.

I have the same problem. Many times! It is really suck! And always because of that, we lose the game. All blamed on me, but they didn´t know it was just a bug! That my W and E works but Q and R did´t. Suddenly! And it happened like 10% in the Game when I use Katalina. Who can tell me how can we get rid of the problem?!

This bug ruined a entire endgame for me. We ace'd got their inhibitor (while ours just respawned) and then my Q, Recall and Ult stopped working. In order to fix it I had to die a 50+ second death, which of course led to loss since I was the main carry in my team. Riot needs to do something about this.

much like a lot of you, I just had a game as Kat. late game I was pretty much carrying my team, 18/11/9 at the end of the game. at one stage of the late game, my team and I were pressuring their inhib turret. I saw an opening on the enemy and killed them and used shunpo back to safety at low health. I had just been messaging one of my friends as well when I tried to recall... didn't work. I walked all the way back to my base and tried again... didn't work. Got back in lane with my team to keep pushing and win the game (which was pretty much guaranteed) until I tried to initiate a team fight with q+e... only the e went off. I tried to at least ult and ignite... only ignite went off... I died and they aced us, they pushed and won the game from that fight.

Like you have all said, this is a game-breaking bug and needs to be fixed for us 'professional' kats B]

this just happened to me my last game, I was in mid game playing as kat and it was a pretty tied game when all of a sudden my q,r and b stopped working.. I kept telling my team what was going on but they didn't belive me and thought I just sucked.. after countless amount of times trying to fix it and I just went into a team battle and died it finally worked again. but this pretty much cost us the game because I was so far behind in kills and the other team got very fed.. this needs to be fixed asap!!

Sadly, committing suicide late in the game, however, isn't really an option. Hopefully Riot can find a solution to this issue and implement it expeditiously.

Same thing just happened to me as well what a stupid bugs. RITO GET BACK TO WORK AND FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! So many people complained about for such a long time and YOU (RITO) gotta fix it.

Bump, I made my own thread on this and I feel Riot is not listening to our pleas. Plz fix or at least disable champ until it is fixed, its quite the game changer since there is NOTHING you can do to fix it. not even close everything down and reopen client.

This happened to me during an ARAM and I saw another post about this issue as well. It's a bug that was introduced with the patch 5.2, however no Rioters have mentioned anything about it :/

For me, it fixed itself when I died and respawned, but I heard from someone else who had the same issue that respawning doesn't always fix it.

Yeah i just want riot to know about the issue as it is clearly new and so i think ill make a reddit post as well since i main katarina and do not want to be unable to play my favorite char due to some stupid bug

Ive had the same issue happen to me twice already. B wouldnt work Q and R also wouldnt work my W, E and both abilities worked fine. Sometimes goes away but comes back and restarting client doesnt work.
