What happened with this camp's patience meter?

LyciaPintella - WTF is with the patience meter?

It just kept leashing. The camp was unkillable since I wasn't on a DPS champ that could take it down before the meter emptied. Only happened twice in one match, but it really wrecked our early game.

I honestly don't know. I thought there was someone behind the pit drawing aggro (sometimes there are visual bugs where skillshots are invisible), but all the enemies are on the map in different places.
