Dear Riot: Invest in Quality Assurance
Riot...EVERY time you guys get a "bright" idea to change hardware or make software changes, or transfer things or whatever else you may think is a good idea, you should rethink that idea. As a network engineer myself I understand that there are times when you need to expand, you need to get a better server or a better switch/router, other hardware etc...however, when we do so we set up a lab first to ensure everything is on the up and up before we make any life changes. You really need to invest money into a QA team that thoroughly tests EVERY aspect of the new deployment before you decide to give it the go ahead. If its a hardware "upgrade" your engineers should be doing everything possible to break the new change so that you know it is not doable. I see major issues springing up from this last update you did, you introduced new bugs (clients not logging in without having to try and do it multiple times, for myself it takes at least 10 tries before it goes through) to Queue problems that are now showing up. All of these things are clear indications that you did not test this before you rolled it out and whoever said it was good to go should be fired. If I were to roll out new hardware or new software and have my business have issues like this I know Id be fired the next day.
When are you going to realize that you need to invest more in your network than you do your entertainment (shoutcasts/cg movies, etc...) those are all fine and dandy but if you dont have the network and the QA people to back them up...they will disappear when you do if you cant figure out a way to put out a consistent product.
