Something WRONG with Battle Sled?

I am enjoying this version of Nexus Blitz as well as having a Battle Sled does really make fun. But I've seen a video on Youtube that when you staying in the Sled outside the Ring during the Battle Royale, you are invincible and going to win the round watching enemies burned to death. It seems not to be fair.

And should it show the one who controls the Sled to ally team or at least to him so that he could know to direct it. Because I was in the situation that no one in my team knew who drove the Sled and it just hit the terrain and smashed and my team died outside the Ring.

Were those made intentionally?
