Statuses Do Not Update in Friends List

I have friends that are in game that it says they are in champ select or in queue even though they are in game (and stays that way until I close the client and re-open the client). I have friends who are spectating and it still says they are not doing anything. I have friends who are playing games that never end despite the game being long over (seeing a game over 60+ minutes and still going when hovering the friend).
