[Gameplay] 'Lifeline' passive cd reset after Upgrading Hexdrinker into Maw

I was just playing Graves on an ARAM match, I bought Hexdrinker, At some point I died and the passive activated, then while I was dead I upgraded Hexdrinker into Maw and Maw had the passive ready to activate. Is this intended?
