Client crashes at champ select; I get a 5min time out

I'm hoping this is the relevant board for this.

I've encountered this problem consistently for about a month. I'll join queue, get into champ select, and then the client freezes, and then it crashes. I get a windows error box about the program not responding, so I have to force quit the client. The result is I'm landed as a game dodger and get the 5min time out.

What happened in these last couple of patches? A year ago, the client was nearly as finicky.

Hello any rioter can help me please im in my first game of promos to s3 and i was first pick as i was baning my first pick my client went non responding pls help its happening as im writing this this is the first time it happens to me im not playing any games untill this is fixed

welcome to my world. i got bugsplat in the middle of a rank game, riot gives me a 20 minute wait for games. best trollollololol tactic ever.
