Lux Ults in Wrong Direction
I've only recently noticed that when playing as Lux, Whenever I ult while my mouse cursor is pointed in a specific direction on the mini map, Lux will never fire in the direction my cursor is pointed/clicked in, It is always off by a lot. It didn't used to be this way.
Have things changed? or is this a bug?
I always play with cam locked onto my champ, While holding down left mouse button onto the mini map AND simultaneously clicking the right mouse button to walk in target direction it allows for me to scan map for opponents to ult, After pressing my ult button it should then fire in the direction that i last right clicked on the mini map, however this isn't the case anymore. I am forced to perma-unlock camera off my target in order to intentionally hit an opponent with the ult.
----------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE!!!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After some research and light Reddit digging, I have discovered the issue began in patch 9.2.
Minimap Targeting Given you're typically trying to hit something on-screen or just off-screen with these abilities, we're disabling minimap targeting to avoid miscasts. MINIMAP TARGETING DISABLED
R - Final Spark,
R - Tidal Wave, and ARAM's Mark spell (yeah yeah it's not a champion ability) no longer use Minimap Targeting. If your cursor is over the minimap when casting one of these, it'll fire in the target direction instead.
This has only affected Lux and Nami for some weird reason, It doesnt make sense why Riot would only target these two! I havent played Lux since this weird update due to this, I cast
ult by targeting on the minimap about 90% of the time. Atleast they should give us the option to enable or disable mini-map targeting.
Very frustrating.[sg-janna]
