In game mastery emotes broken

Context: I was playing a twitch game(tier5 twitch #twitchmains) when I noticed he little red banner under the champion's icon doesn't pop up after I got a kill. I pressed control 6 and that didn't work either, while all the other emotes worked fine (excluding the taunt visual bug)

I've had the exact same problem. I have level 5 with multiple champs and have had the same button binding forever. Now in game I cannot flash my mastery emote. I went to settings and tried to bind it to different keys but to no avail.
