Unable to reach log-in screen (Photo attached)

I am able to start the patcher and click "LAUNCH", but as I do that, the screen pops up as if it would show the log in screen, but just stays as a black screen no matter how long I wait for it.

(For in case you ask, patch 4.20 is not the root of the problem, as this has happened a number of times for before the patch.)
