[GAMEPLAY] Yasuo Q Bug doesn't work when stunned or affected by CC after casted

This is my first Discussion post (ever), and I'm very new into this whole forum thing. So sorry if anything below is a bit off script...

So basically, I main Yasuo Yasuo. Lately, during the last games I've played, I have notices something quite odd things about him (one of them being this). Honestly I don't think it's meant to be like that since it doesn't really make sense after all. However, when casting yasuo's Q (Steel Tempest), it doesn't seem to have any effect what so ever after casting it if you get stunned right after the full cast. 'Maybe this is lag?' That's what I thought first, but since this happens over, and over again, I don't see it as lagg anymore. For example, if I cast any of my 2 first Steel Tempest's, and get stunned by some kind of CC such as a normal stun, or a knock up AFTER I've fully casted it; it doesn't seem to work. So here's the point of my statement: If Yasuo's Q (Steel Tempest) Is casted and he gets stunned afterwards, it is interrupted some how without any kind of warning or explanation. Why is this? Is it supposed to be like this? Or is this actually a bug?

Let me explain with some current examples of my knowledge so far... So, let's say that I'm playing yasuo mid/top against a Renekton. I go out to make a trade with my E (Sweeping Blade), and use the combo with my Q to create a spin Q, now that works. However, say that for example that I see him spinning against me to initiate a trade with me, I cast my Q but it has no effect since he manages to use his W (Ruthless Predator) right after my cast of my Q.

Another example would be riven, and yes I'm not saying this because I think she's too over powered already or anything (even though we all know she is a extremely high cap damage dealer). If I happened to cast my Q right before she casts here 3rd knock up Q on me, my Q would have no effect what so ever.

So basically, if someone uses CC against a Yasuo right after he's casted his Q, they can simply counter all (or most) of his damage by this simple technique. Even though I don't think a lot of people know about this, I've noticed it happen to other players as well, also when I myself am playing against another Yasuo. I feel like it can be kind of exploited and it really makes me sad; because Yasuo is one of my absolute favorite champions, and I feel like this downside to him can easily make him useless in team fights through out my experience with him.

Oh! And one more thing before I end this thread, as my preference build for Yasuo I usually build Trinity force early game to max my AA damage as much as possible both for 1v1 fights and pushing towers faster. Honestly, I am not sure about this yet, and I am willing to try it out to see what really happens, but I'll give an example below of what I mean regarding to trinity force and Yasuo's Q related to this 'issue' so far.

If this bug/unknown mechanic in Yasuo's natural behavior, does trinity force activate it's passive increasing his next basic attack to deal 200% of his total AD if someone with a CC champion denies the Q being casted with or not? I thought this would be interesting to point out since maybe this could give further understanding on what's actually going on with the process of his Q being denied by CC on purpose or not? As I said I have no Idea yet but if I realize it doesn't then maybe it is a bug after all?

Conclusion: So it is possible to counter Yasuo by simply timing the CC right after his Q cast, which will deny it from any effect (including Damage wise, item wise[theoretically], and stacking wise for his tornado ability to work). If this is a bug, please have a look into it if you can, I think not only I would appreciate it but others too since Yasuo is a extremely well done champion and balanced after all. I think he requires a bit skill to play and shouldn't need to encounter problems like this, which can make him pretty much useless in many scenarios such as team fights, 1v1-fights or any combat related group fight that includes CC of any kind etc. I like him the way he is and by far, this is probably the only thing I've experienced as negative with him. Ever.

Thank you for taking your time to read this extremely long post! I'm only trying to be as precise as possible with my understanding of all this to help the technical supporters and game designers to understand what I mean by giving in depth details about it. By that way, maybe that way they can fix it easier. Thank you for your patience ladies and gentlemen.

Sorry for any grammar misstakes or mis-spellings etc. I'm only 15 years old and half american so excuse my bad English! xD Best regards, OfficialLixard (Europe West)

I had a similar experience where a Lee Sin would ulti me right after I used my Q. What happens is that the animation goes on delayed enough to save him. It seems like it has also a pre-cast time.

I know Yasuo's Q is a spell with channel, that can be interrupted, "Not really rocket science." as "JohnBakedBoy" said on a reddit post that I read not long ago related to this. That can be found here if you're interested in that too: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/2rzvkk/why_is_yasuos_q_interruptable_by_cc/ However, why is this? and even though it is? Can it be fixed or not? It kind of ruins the champion in many ways if your whole team relies on you. in a teamfight it's very important to be able to use your abilties without interruptions (channeled abilities or not). I think this goes for all champions and not only Yasuo, Ahri for example, can do some really over powered things with her Charm (E). Thresh can stop Tristana from even jumping anywhere with her (W) Rocket jump, by simply just casting his E... This is all weird, and looks so weird in-game.. SO before leaving any hate comments, take some consideration into my words and realize what I'm really worried about. Not because I wan't Yasuo to be better in any way, as I said in the post above, but to consider the downsides of him not being able to cast his abilities correctly.
