[GAMEPLAY] Thresh ultimate counts as an area of effect ability when it only hits one target

A while ago, Thresh's ultimate was changed to have only the first wall deal damage, thus making it a single target ability as the other walls only slow and do not apply spell effects. But it was not changed to count as a single target ability, and so spell effects like Deathfire Touch have a reduced effect. To reproduce:

  1. Enter practice tool as Thresh with Deathfire Touch as your keystone.
  2. Spawn a practice dummy, left click it, and hit it with your q. Watch the timer for Deathfire Touch.
  3. Hit the practice dummy with your ultimate. Notice that Deathfire Touch lasts a shorter time than it did with your q. Video: Youtube Link

Because it is an AOE ability with multiple possible hits.

When you cast it, is it covering an area? If so, it's AREA of effect.

It is like you would count Ziggs' little bombs on the ground as AOE. Even though each bomb only hits one character.

It doesn't apply spell effects to multiple targets. I'm not arguing that it isn't AoE, just that if it only applies spell effects to one target, it should be counted as single target.

That counts as AoE because it hits multiple times, thus can apply spell effects to multiple enemies. Thresh's ultimate can only ever apply spell effects once, thus is single target.
