Frame rate drop on summoners rift update

Okay so i hoped on my pbe today and played a few games on the new rift update when i noticed that the frames i were playing fluxuated HEAVILY. i went from runing 60 fps at all low settings to 15 or less, along with this i noticed the sound lagged as well and a few members of my team had the same problem as well.
