getting a "power surge" when i load into odyssey

When i get into a game of odyssey my computer crashes saying that I got a "power surge". This occurred 3 times when I was done loading in and once when I was a few mins in. After i re-loaded in I was fine for the first 2 times but after the 2nd time it was saying that I needed to install the newest patch and on the 3rd time my league of legends launcher was acting like it was my first time playing the game. At this point I don't want to try playing it until i know I can fix it. dose anyone know what I can do to fix it?
