Sorry for the repost; I was informed this is more of a bug-report than a gameplay/balance issue. I'm doing an x-post from my reddit post because this is important. After the buffs to Q and W, I've been playing a bit more Veigar again, and I noticed the other day that as long as enemies were in the circle of my E, that I would get assist gold--even if they were never stunned by walking into the edges. I thought this was a pretty neat aspect, as you are really assisting by keeping them in that zone. HOWEVER!!! I was watching Froggen play some Veigar today, and the game he just finished (the 15 minute one: http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUW1/2311833527/202849736?tab=overview) he got an assist when he placed his stun around Vayne in the bot lane, even though Vayne was not stunned or inside the cage when it became active.

I love Veigar, and don't want to see him nerfed if he's the new Flavor of the Month (I don't even think he needs to be nerfed, people are just not used to him yet, just like Viktor a couple months ago), however especially now that his Q grants AP on assists, he should not be getting assists or assist gold for people who escape the inside of Event Horizon (his E) BEFORE it is active (I still maintain assists are valid if they're in the cage during when it was active because the enemy was confined to an inescapable area which allowed them to be killed).

For added clarity, it's granting assists on anyone in the initial zone during the .75 seconds BEFORE it is active, even if they are no longer in the stun cage/stunned while it is active. I stipulate that this is one spicy meatball in Riot's spaghetti code, allowing for Veigar's to gain a lot of hidden power, because in late game they'll get 5 AP for everyone they get kills/assists on, so to gain assists for anyone in a spell's area .75 seconds before it is active might be making him a bit stronger, so before any nerfs are thrown out, this should be fixed.
