Buster Leaver on reconnect a thing?

So, two problems I want to address.

1. Did Riot client crash because of a bug on their part? Did you take too long to reconnect because of constant errors or internet issues? Hey, your situation is about to get WORSE. Why? Because as soon as you reconnect, there's a chance Riot will tell you that for standing still for too long, you could be banned! But hey, if you click "Okay," you leave the game and need to reconnect as punishment. So you're behind by another minute!!! This needs to be addressed. If you reconnect, don't leaverbuster punish and force a disconnect, that's just stupid.

2. This morning I had an indoor cat who got out, and had to address the issue (was non-ranked btw, I don't go afk period for ranked and rarely during non-ranked). When I get back? "Oh dude you were afk for too long!" I click Okay and exit! Forced to reconnect, thus 'afk' for LONGER, and the whole team is punished further, not just me!

Riot, what gives?! Why does this even force a user to quit and reconnect? It's ridiculous and further punishes the entire team. The worst was back around before 4.20 when several people had the firewall bug (even those with no firewall) and black screens, then forcing a dc for afk as soon as they FINALLY got in! Riot, please fix.
